Motorola Edge 70 Fusion gets a new 512GB storage variant in India

Motorola has released a new variant of the Edge 70 Fusion in India for users who need more room for apps, photos, videos and games. The company has introduced a new model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, making it the most expensive version of the smartphone available in the country.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion was launched in March and was previously offered with up to 256GB of storage. The new 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs 36,999 and is available through Motorola’s online store in Pantone Silhouette, Pantone Blue Surf and Pantone Orient Blue colour options.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion specifications and pricing

Apart from the storage upgrade, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion remains unchanged. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and packs a 7,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. For photography, the device includes a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 out of the box and comes with a promise of three major Android OS upgrades.

Motorola now sells the Edge 70 Fusion in the following variants:

  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs 29,999
  • 8GB + 256GB: Rs 31,999
  • 12GB + 256GB: Rs 33,999
  • 12GB + 512GB: Rs 36,999

At Rs 36,999, the new variant enters a competitive segment that includes devices such as the OnePlus Nord series, Redmi Turbo 5 and Nothing Phone 4a series. Brands are increasingly offering larger storage capacities as users keep more photos, videos and AI-generated content on their devices. Rivals have also been pushing 512GB variants into the premium mid-range segment over the past year.

Buyers who frequently shoot videos, download large games or plan to keep their phone for several years may find the extra storage worthwhile. However, for most users, the 12GB + 256GB version at Rs 33,999 is likely to offer a better balance of value and capacity while delivering the same overall experience.
