Motorola is set to launch the Motorola Signature 27 in India on November 5th, bringing its latest premium smartphone to the market with upgrades across performance, cameras, battery and software. The company has already confirmed several specifications, including a 200MP periscope camera, a larger battery and B&O-tuned speakers. A new Geekbench listing now offers a closer look at the chipset powering the device, which is going to make its debut in India with the phone.
Motorola Signature 27 Geekbench listing
The Motorola Signature 27 has appeared on Geekbench 7.1.0, recording 3,313 points in the single-core test and 11,088 points in the multi-core test. The listing identifies the chipset as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, accompanied by an Adreno 850 GPU. It also mentions 10.94GB of memory, likely to be marketed as 12GB RAM, and Android 17.
The chipset is a tier upgrade over the first-generation Motorola Signature, which used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The newer processor should offer more performance headroom for demanding games and intensive workloads, although real-world performance will need to be assessed in our review. For context, the OG Motorola Signature scored 2,889 and 9,583 in our in-house Geekbench tests, so there’s clearly a bump. The Signature 27’s reported Geekbench scores are closer to flagships like Samsung Galaxy S26 and OPPO Find X10 Pro Max.
The Signature 27 will also have company in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 segment. The iQOO 16 is another upcoming phone tipped to use this chipset and is expected to launch in India, with reports suggesting a price of around Rs 1 lakh. This gives Motorola a direct competitor to contend with in the premium segment. The two phones will be worth comparing on camera hardware, battery capacity and software support, rather than chipset performance alone.
Expected price and specifications
Motorola hasn’t hinted the Signature 27’s price yet. For context, the first-generation Signature started at Rs 59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The new phone could cost more, given its upgraded chipset and camera hardware. The reported USD 300 cost of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, equivalent to around Rs 29,000, and rising memory prices could also put pressure on the final price.
Anyway, the confirmed specifications include a 6.8-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 6,000mAh battery, up from 5,200mAh on the previous model. Its rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-910 1/1.28-inch main sensor with OIS and a 200MP periscope camera with OIS.
Motorola has also confirmed its ArcticMesh cooling system, featuring a 40 percent larger vapour chamber, copper mesh, liquid metal and thermal gel. Other features include a six-antenna cloud array, IP68 and IP69 ratings, and B&O-tuned speakers, a first for a Motorola smartphone. The phone will support Gemini Omni for generating and editing photos and videos, while Lyria can create background music synced to videos. Motorola has also committed to seven years of OS upgrades and security updates.
The Signature 27 has a ceramic and brushed aluminium camera area, an aluminium frame and will be available in Pantone Capulet Olive and Pantone Coal Smoke. With the first Signature offering flagship hardware below the Rs 70,000 mark, the new model’s price will be important. Motorola will need to justify any increase against rivals such as the upcoming iQOO 16, particularly with a longer software support commitment and substantial camera upgrades now part of its offering.
