Nothing is building hype for its Phone (4a) Pro with an exclusive offline pre-sale event in Bengaluru, which will allow a few users to get their hands on the device well ahead of its official March 27th shipping date. The company unveiled the entire Phone (4a) series just over a week ago on March 5th in London. The base Phone (4a) hit online shelves via Flipkart and Nothing’s site starting March 13th following its early retail drop on March 7th, while the Pro model has been up for pre-orders.
If you’re in Bengaluru on March 21st at 6 pm IST, you can head over to Nothing’s flagship store in Indiranagar. This will be the first public chance to buy the Phone (4a) Pro in person, and the first 100 customers walking out with one score an exclusive engraved edition of the phone plus a free pair of Nothing Ear earbuds. This is an interesting move by Nothing, creating a sense of urgency and buzz, much like they did with the non-Pro earlier this month.
The Phone (4a) Pro steps up from the base model with a sleek metal unibody frame and IP65 rating for dust and splashes, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It packs a 6.83-inch 144Hz OLED screen with 1,260 x 2,800 resolution, 5,000 nits peak brightness for sunlight legibility, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Cameras include a 50MP Sony-LYTIA 700C main sensor with OIS, a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto for proper optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide, putting it ahead of most mid-rangers that skimp on telephoto hardware.
With prices starting at Rs 39,999 for the base variant and reaching Rs 45,999 for the top configuration, the Phone (4a) Pro enters the competitive Rs 35,000 – Rs 50,000 segment. Rival devices here include Samsung’s Galaxy A5x models, the OnePlus Nord series and several models from Realme’s GT series. Samsung’s offering attracts buyers looking for longer software support, while Realme’s GT lineup focuses on performance and charging speeds. Nothing’s approach is slightly different, emphasising its Glyph lighting system, a cleaner Android interface and camera features such as the periscope zoom.
For buyers, this Bengaluru drop is a good opportunity if you like Nothing’s vibe and want the freebies. The engraved phone alone could make it a collector’s item down the line. Pre-orders for the phone are already live online with bank discounts.
