Nothing smartwatch reportedly in development, could launch in September
Nothing could soon expand its product ecosystem beyond smartphones, earbuds and CMF wearables. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the company is working on its first smartwatch under the main Nothing brand, with a launch reportedly planned for September.

Brar claims the smartwatch will carry Nothing’s signature transparent-inspired design language, cost under USD 300 (around Rs 29,000), and initially launch in select markets. No specifications or launch markets have been revealed yet, although the tipster says more details will be shared soon.

If the report turns out to be correct, the smartwatch would fill one of the biggest gaps in Nothing’s product portfolio. While the company has steadily expanded into smartphones, audio products and accessories, it has so far left smartwatches to its budget-focused sub-brand, CMF by Nothing.
CMF currently offers twi smartwatches in India. The CMF Watch Pro 2 retails at Rs 4,999 or Rs 5,499, depending on the colour option. The CMF Watch 3 Pro (review) recently launched in India and starts at Rs 7,999. Across the lineup, CMF focuses on value-oriented features such as AMOLED displays, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling and battery life of up to 13 days.
A Nothing-branded smartwatch, however, would likely target a different audience. With a reported price below USD 300, it would move into a more premium segment, competing more directly with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch series and Google’s Pixel Watch lineup. Nothing may focus on design, software integration and its growing ecosystem to differentiate.
The timing of the report is interesting as it arrives shortly after claims that Nothing was planning to exit more than a dozen global markets and reduce its global workforce. The company has since denied those reports, with co-founder Akis Evangelidis saying the company is “reorganising its operations into regional hubs and new business units.” Launching a premium smartwatch would fit that strategy. Expanding the main Nothing ecosystem with another flagship-category product could help strengthen customer retention while giving existing Phone users another reason to stay within the brand’s ecosystem.
There’s little reason for buyers to hold off on a smartwatch purchase just yet, as details remain scarce. However, those already invested in Nothing’s smartphones or earbuds may want to wait and see what the company’s first smartwatch brings, particularly if seamless ecosystem features become a key part of the experience.
