Compact phones have made a comeback, beginning with the OnePlus 13s. This phone, along with later models such as the Vivo X200 FE and OPPO Reno 15 Pro Mini, demonstrated that compact phones no longer make the same hardware compromises they did earlier.

When I reviewed the OnePlus 13s in June 2025, I praised its compact, portable form factor. What impressed me more was that despite its small design, the phone offered a solid battery life, something that was a typical issue with earlier compact phones.
