OnePlus 15 gets AirDrop-like sharing with Apple devices via Quick Share
Google’s efforts to improve interoperability between Android and Apple’s ecosystem are going more mainstream now. Apart from Pixel and Samsung smartphones, OnePlus has also added support for AirDrop via Quick Share. Allegedly spotted on the OnePlus 15 (review), users can now transfer files between their smartphone and Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs without a drop in quality.
As reported by Android Authority, the feature has started appearing on select OnePlus 15 smartphones. Separately, a post on the OnePlus forum suggests that other users have also started receiving the feature. It seems to be currently in the testing phase, with broader rollout expected soon.

OnePlus 15 AirDrop support through Quick Share
The AirDrop compatibility with Quick Share is an Android feature which Google added with its Pixel 10 series in 2025. It was later expanded to Samsung smartphones and now seems to be rolling out to OnePlus 15 users. This is in line with the company’s announcement earlier this year that its flagship would be among the devices eligible to receive the functionality.
The feature allows files to be shared directly between the OnePlus 15 and Apple devices without requiring third-party apps or cloud-based services. Transfers work similarly to native AirDrop sharing and rely on nearby device discovery. It is reported that users do not need to perform any special setup beyond ensuring that Quick Share is updated to the latest version. On the Apple side, however, AirDrop visibility must be set to “Everyone for 10 minutes” for the device to appear during the transfer process.
Interestingly, the OnePlus 15 is currently the only OnePlus smartphone confirmed to receive AirDrop compatibility. Older flagship models, including the OnePlus 13 series, have not been listed among the supported devices so far.
What does this mean for users?
The addition of AirDrop support marks OnePlus’ entry into Apple’s tightly integrated ecosystem, addressing one of the longstanding barriers between Android and Apple devices.
