OnePlus launched the N6 Lite in India earlier this week as its latest budget offering and the company’s most affordable smartphone yet. Priced at Rs 16,999, the OnePlus N6 Lite packs a 7,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with 5G connectivity. It is positioned as a basic everyday smartphone for buyers who want OnePlus hardware without spending too much. With competition in the budget segment getting increasingly strong, here’s how the OnePlus N6 Lite compares with the iQOO Z11 Lite.

OnePlus N6 Lite vs iQOO Z11 Lite: price in India

OnePlus N6 Lite is more affordable in comparison to the iQOO Z11 Lite. The smartphone is priced at Rs 16,999 for the sole configuration with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The iQOO Z11 Lite, on the other hand, starts at Rs 19,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. iQOO also offers two more memory configurations to choose from.

In terms of design, the OnePlus N6 Lite and iQOO Z11 Lite take different approaches, but both offer a clean and sleek look. The N6 Lite features a small, square-shaped camera module tucked into the top-left corner and a flat design. It also comes with MIL-STD-810H certification and an IP64 rating for added durability. The phone is available in two colours: Neo Green and Midnight Hype.

The iQOO Z11 Lite, meanwhile, features vertically aligned rear cameras that maintain a minimalist look. Its Solar Flame variant stands out with a patterned finish. The phone also gets an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with Swiss SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and military-grade durability certifications, giving it a slight advantage over the N6 Lite in terms of protection. However, both phones feature a dated notch display, which feels like a compromise even in this price segment.

Coming to the display, the OnePlus N6 Lite features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits of peak brightness. It also gets Aqua Touch, which is designed to maintain touch responsiveness when the screen is wet or has moisture or oil on it. The iQOO Z11 Lite has a similarly sized 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, but offers higher peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. On paper, this gives the iQOO an advantage, particularly for outdoor visibility.

The OnePlus N6 Lite is powered by the UNISOC T7250 chipset, which should be capable of handling everyday tasks. It also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM and expandable storage of up to 2TB via a microSD card. The iQOO Z11 Lite, meanwhile, uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a more capable and widely used budget chipset. Based on the specifications alone, the iQOO should offer better performance and be more reliable for heavier workloads. It’s also worth mentioning that the OnePlus N6 Lite doesn’t support 5G, while the Z11 Lite does.

OnePlus has the advantage when it comes to battery capacity. The N6 Lite packs a 7,000mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge. The iQOO Z11 Lite gets a slightly smaller 6,500mAh battery, giving the OnePlus phone a paper edge. However, real-world testing will determine how efficiently both phones utilise their respective battery capacities.

For photography, the OnePlus N6 Lite features a modest camera setup with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The main sensor can also capture 50MP images using the High-Res mode. The iQOO Z11 Lite, meanwhile, gets a 50MP primary camera paired with a 0.8MP secondary sensor and a 5MP selfie camera.

On paper, the Z11 Lite has the more capable primary camera, although the N6 Lite’s 50MP High-Res mode could help it deliver comparable levels of detail in some situations. Both phones feature 5MP front cameras, which are fairly basic and are likely to offer a similar selfie experience.

The phone also comes with AI features such as AI Creation, which can summarise lengthy documents, rewrite or expand text, translate content, correct grammar, and even draft emails based on prompts.
