Shortly after increasing the price of the OnePlus Nord 6, the Nord CE6 series has received a price hike in India. This comes just two weeks after the Nord CE6 (review) and Nord CE6 Lite (review) launched here. Both phones are now costlier by up to Rs 3,000. The price hike seems inevitable, considering the ongoing memory cost crisis the smartphone industry has been facing for months now.
OnePlus Nord CE6 series price hike
OnePlus launched the Nord CE6 series in India earlier this month as the more affordable alternative to the Nord 6. Launched at a starting price of Rs 20,999 for the base model, the Nord CE6 Lite is now available at Rs 22,999 for the base variant. The Nord CE6 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage now costs Rs 31,999, up from its launch price of Rs 29,999.
Here’s a breakdown of the price hike.

Should you still buy the OnePlus Nord CE6 series?
Following the price hike, the most important question would be whether to buy the Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite. Starting with the more affordable Nord CE6 Lite, this smartphone nails all the basics with a large 7,000mAh battery, a reliable Dimensity 7400 chipset, and reliable cameras for everyday photography. So, you’re still getting a dependable daily driver with the Nord CE6 Lite. However, it does lack an AMOLED panel, which is something other phones offer in this price segment.
As for the Nord CE6, it’s a notable upgrade from the Nord CE5, offering a 1.5K 144Hz display, an IP69K-rated design, a large 8,000mAh battery, and more. This makes it a compelling option for those who want a capable mid-ranger with a reliable battery life and good display quality. Its camera setup is modest, though, so you might want to check alternatives for better options.
