“The OPPO F11 Pro comes with a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera and a full-screen display”

OPPO has finally gone ahead and announced the all-new OPPO F11 Pro smartphone in India. The successor to the F9 Pro (review) features improvements across the board in hardware, design and camera departments. One of the biggest improvements of the F11 Pro over its predecessor is the 48-megapixel rear-facing camera and the full-screen display without resorting to any notches or camera cut-outs. So if you are wondering what all the new smartphone brings to the table, then in this post, we’ll be comparing the F11 Pro price, features and specifications with the F9 Pro.

OPPO F11 Pro vs OPPO F9 Pro price in India

Just like its predecessor, the brand’s latest is a mid-range smartphone. The OPPO F11 Pro price in India is Rs 24,990 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It’s available in two colour options, which are called Thunder Black and Aurora Green.

In a lead up to the launch of the F11 Pro, OPPO reduced the F9 Pro India price a few weeks ago. The phone now starts at Rs 19,990 with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage. If you want the variant with 128GB of storage, then that will set you back by Rs 23,990. The smartphone comes in Starry Purple, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue colour options.

OPPO F11 Pro vs OPPO F9 Pro specifications

The new OPPO F11 Pro has plenty of design changes when compared with the F9 Pro. While the OPPO F9 Pro came with a waterdrop notch, F11 Pro features an all-screen fascia with almost no bezels. OPPO has opted to go for a pop-up camera instead of a notch, which gives the user more immersive multimedia and gaming experience. The rear cameras are now mounted vertically on the centre.

Oppo F11 Pro Back 1

Coming to the actual hardware, the OPPO F11 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display and it is powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. The chipset is mated to a maximum of 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. In contrast, the F9 Pro featured a 6.3-inch full HD+ screen and used the previous-gen Helio P60 processor. OPPO sold the F9 Pro with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage as well.

The F11 Pro ships with a 4,000mAh battery, which is 500mAh more than what you got with its predecessor. OPPO has also included its VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology with the new phone, which can go from 0 to 100 in just 80 minutes. However, the phone gets an older micro-USB port instead of USB Type-C, which is disappointing. Both devices sport a fingerprint scanner on their backs.

Talking about cameras, the OPPO F11 Pro features a dual rear camera setup with a primary 48-megapixel shooter, which is paired with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The large 48-megapixel sensor comes with an f/1.8 aperture and 6P lens, which according to the company, will provide great shots in low-light. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies. The camera software is loaded with AI features that will make it easier to take photos.

The OPPO F9 Pro also featured a pair of cameras on the back, comprising a 16-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it had a higher resolution 25-megapixel camera. Finally, on the software front, you get the latest Android 9.0 Pie on the F11 Pro, while the F9 Pro runs Android 8.0 Oreo.

Bottomline

It’s evident that the OPPO F11 Pro is a notable upgrade over the F9 Pro. Along with better internals, the new smartphone also comes with a higher screen-to-body ratio, thanks to a pop-up camera.
