OPPO is launching the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro in China on April 21st. These phones are an extension of the flagship Find X9 series, with the Ultra being the top-end model and the Find X9s Pro being the compact flagship. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra would undoubtedly be the highlight, but the Find X9s Pro is also no less. Despite its smaller form factor, the Find X9s Pro is confirmed to house a dual 200MP camera system. It’s now confirmed to launch with a telephoto converter accessory.

OPPO Find X9s Pro camera accessory details
The Find X9s Pro is set to debut with a rare dual 200MP camera system, combining a high-resolution primary sensor with a similarly powerful telephoto unit. That alone puts it in a niche tier. But OPPO isn’t stopping at internal hardware. The company has revealed an optional external telephoto lens developed in partnership with Hasselblad. The accessory attaches via a rotating mount and features a full metal build, giving it the look and feel of a traditional camera lens rather than a typical clip-on add-on.

With the additional lens, the OPPO Find X9s Pro will be capable of long-range scenarios like sports and wildlife photography, where smartphones usually struggle. OPPO claims it maintains color science and image consistency aligned with Hasselblad tuning for the Find X9s Pro.
Smartphones have been quite close to achieving DSLR-like performance, but physical limitations, especially zoom, remain a hurdle. But with an external accessory, the phone’s camera capabilities are pushed further with the ability to take distant shots and detailed ones.
OPPO Find X9s Pro specs (expected)
Beyond the camera story, the Find X9s Pro looks solid on paper:- 6.32-inch 1.5K flat display, 144Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC
- 7,025mAh battery, 80W wired + 50W wireless charging
- Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and dual speakers
OPPO Find X9s Pro gets a flagship chipset, so performance is covered for not just regular but power users as well. The battery capacity is also quite impressive for a compact device. OPPO is also adding a 144Hz refresh rate, making it a good choice for gamers.
For now, the OPPO Find X9s Pro is confirmed to launch in China, with no details of a global debut. Based on what we know so far, the Find X9s Pro is recommended for those who care deeply about mobile photography, especially zoom and detail, like the idea of modular camera enhancements, and want flagship specs in a compact form factor.
The Find X9 Ultra is confirmed to go global on the same day as the China launch. If you’re currently using an older flagship and prioritise camera zoom, this could be a significant upgrade, assuming it launches globally. Since there’s no word on the Find X9s Pro’s availability outside China, it may not be wise to wait for the device if you need to purchase a flagship soon.
