OPPO has expanded its flagship smartphone lineup in India with the launch of two new devices: the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s. While the Find X9 Ultra grabs attention with its advanced quad-camera system and premium hardware, the Find X9s arrives as the more accessible option in the lineup. With the Find X9s, OPPO now offers a flagship-grade phone catering to more users and a wider price segment.
Interestingly, the Find X9s also shares several similarities with the OPPO Find X9, which debuted last year as OPPO’s standard flagship model. With both phones sitting close in terms of branding and positioning, buyers may find it difficult to understand what exactly sets them apart. To help simplify things, here’s a closer look at how the OPPO Find X9s compares with the Find X9.

OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: price in India
Pricing is the most interesting bit here as the Find X9s is more expensive than the Find X9, although the latter is superior in terms of specs. We’ll get to that later. At present, you can get the Find X9 for Rs 74,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Find X9s, on the other hand, costs Rs 79,999 for the same memory configuration. If we take only pricing into context, the Find X9 is the more affordable option here.
| Variant | OPPO Find X9s price | OPPO Find X9 price |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 79,999 | Rs 74,999 |
| 12GB + 512GB | Rs 89,999 | Rs 84,999 |
OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: design, display
The OPPO Find X9s and Find X9 share a very similar design language, including the square-shaped rear camera module and a compact overall form factor. The main difference lies in the colour options. The Find X9s comes in Midnight Grey, Lavender Sky, and Sunset Orange, giving it a more vibrant and youthful look, while the Find X9 is available in Velvet Red, Titanium Grey, and Space Black for a more classic flagship aesthetic.

Both phones feature a 6.59-inch display, striking a balance between compact usability and immersive viewing. They also come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, offering strong durability credentials.
On the front, both devices pack the same 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,800 nits HBM brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. In everyday use, the viewing experience on the Find X9s and Find X9 should feel virtually identical.
OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: performance
The key difference between the OPPO Find X9s and Find X9 lies in the processor. The newer Find X9s is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, while the Find X9 runs on the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The Dimensity 9500 remains MediaTek’s flagship-tier processor and offers slightly higher clock speeds compared to the 9500s variant. That said, the real-world performance gap between the two phones is unlikely to be dramatic for most users.

Everyday tasks such as multitasking, gaming, camera processing, and AI features should feel smooth on both devices. The Find X9 may still hold a slight edge for heavier gaming workloads or sustained performance, but the Find X9s appears to focus more on delivering a balanced flagship experience at a relatively more accessible price point.
OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: cameras
Camera performance is another area where the Find X9s and Find X9 are quite closely matched, though the Find X9 retains a slight hardware advantage on paper.
The Find X9s features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The phone also supports up to 6x lossless zoom and comes with a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Meanwhile, the Find X9 uses a more premium 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 telephoto sensor. Like the X9s, it also supports 3x optical zoom and up to 6x lossless zoom.
In everyday use, both phones should deliver very similar camera performance, especially for portrait shots, zoom photography, and social media content. However, the Find X9’s larger and more capable LYT-808 sensor could offer slightly better low-light performance, dynamic range, and overall image detail compared to the Find X9s.
OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: battery
Both phones pack the same large 7,025mAh battery, which should comfortably deliver all-day usage and potentially stretch into a second day for moderate users. The two devices also support 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups despite the large battery size. However, the Find X9 gains an extra advantage with support for 50W AirVOOC wireless charging, a feature missing on the Find X9s.
For most users, the battery life experience between the two phones should remain nearly identical. But if wireless charging convenience matters to you, the Find X9 offers a more premium and feature-complete charging setup.
OPPO Find X9s vs Find X9: software
The Find X9s and Find X9 ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box, offering OPPO’s latest software experience with updated AI features, smoother animations, and improved multitasking tools. However, the two phones differ in long-term software support.

The Find X9 is promised five major Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, giving it a stronger edge in terms of longevity and future-proofing. The Find X9s, meanwhile, is confirmed to receive four major OS upgrades. While still respectable, it falls slightly behind the standard Find X9 in overall software commitment.
Overall, the OPPO Find X9s and Oppo Find X9 are quite closely matched, sharing the same display, battery capacity, core camera experience, and premium design language. The biggest differences come down to the chipset, wireless charging support, camera hardware, and long-term software policy.
The Find X9 feels like the more premium and future-proof option thanks to its faster Dimensity 9500 chip, better primary camera sensor, wireless charging support, and longer software commitment. The Find X9s, meanwhile, delivers a very similar everyday flagship experience, making it a strong option for users who want flagship essentials without paying extra for premium add-ons. However, with the Find X9 currently more affordable than the Find X9s, it would make sense to get the former before OPPO hikes the price.
