OPPO K14x is launching in India as the brand’s latest budget smartphone. It’s part of the K-series, which caters to the budget and mid-range segment, and the K14x would be the most affordable smartphone in the lineup. It would also succeed the OPPO K13x from last year, which launched at a starting price of Rs 11,999. If OPPO continues with the same pricing, then the K14x would sit with a highly competitive price even for the budget category.
With just a day to go for its launch, here’s everything you need to know about the OPPO K14x.

OPPO is launching the K14x in India tomorrow, on February 10th. The launch is scheduled to take place at 12 pm. However, it’s not confirmed if there’s going to be a livestream or not for the K14x India launch. If there is, then we’ll update this space with the livestream link.
The OPPO K14x is also confirmed to go on sale via Flipkart. It will most likely be available via other platforms as well.
The OPPO K14x looks quite like the K13x with its flat design and metal frame. There is one change, though. The rear camera module has been redesigned with the flash now sitting outside the camera sensors. OPPO has also added a prism pattern on the back panel, giving it a premium look and feel. The smartphone will be available in two colours: Prism Violet and Ice Blue.
The OPPO K14x is confirmed to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. This would be one of the biggest battery capacities offered in this segment. It’s also a slight upgrade over the K13x’s 6,000mAh battery, but charging speed remains the same. With this battery and charging setup, it should be more than enough to get you through an entire day and more. Still, it’s worth mentioning that there are phones like the Redmi 15 that offer 7,000mAh batteries already. And with the large battery trend in full swing, the number is expected to go even higher this year.
The OPPO K14x will feature a 120Hz display with 1,125 nits peak brightness and an LCD panel. These displays are largely the same as the K13x, but the brightness level has been slightly increased from 1,000 nits. If OPPO upgrades the resolution from HD+, then it would be a notable improvement on the K14x.
The smartphone is confirmed to feature a 50MP AI camera, suggesting there will be several AI features to experiment with. Some of the confirmed ones include AI Portrait Mode, AI Recompose, and AI Eraser 2.0. There’s a Dual-View Video mode as well, which should be good for content creators.
More details confirmed include an IP64 rating for the OPPO K14x. Interestingly, this is lower than the K13x’s IP65 rating. Although a downgrade, IP64 is still quite standard for this price segment. The smartphone will come with ColorOS 15 out of the box.
The OPPO K14x is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000 in India. The exact pricing isn’t known yet, but based on this speculation, we may see a price hike on the K14x. Its predecessor, the K13x, launched at a starting price of Rs 11,999. Still, we should wait for official results before jumping to conclusions.
For now, the OPPO K14x’s strengths seem to lie in the battery life, bright display, and AI features. More specifications are left to be revealed, which we’ll get to know about tomorrow. So, it’s best to wait for the complete details and after that, reviews, so you can be sure about buying the OPPO K14x.
