  • The Reno 15c starts at Rs 34,999.

OPPO Reno 15c launched in India last month as part of the Reno 15 lineup. It’s also the first ‘c’ model in the Reno series, and the most affordable of the lot. The Reno 15c’s specifications and pricing details were revealed during the launch, but its availability was scheduled for February. The smartphone is finally available to pre-order via multiple online platforms. The OPPO Reno 15c has a starting price of Rs 34,999 in India.

The Reno 15c can be pre-ordered from Amazon, Flipkart, and OPPO’s online store. There’s a pre-order option on all these platforms with the availability date mentioned as February 5th. So you can go ahead and purchase it, but delivery will take place after the phone is officially released. There’s a flat discount of up to Rs 3,500 on several banks’ debit and credit cards if you purchase the phone via Amazon and Flipkart. You can also avail of no-cost EMI options and exchange offers. The smartphone will be available to purchase through offline retailers too.

Pricing for the Reno 15c starts at Rs 34,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and Rs 37,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. The smartphone is available in two colour options: Afterglow Pink and Twilight Blue.

The Reno 15c offers a compact feel with a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh and 1,400 nits peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which is a rather old chipset, so its performance may not be as expected for this segment. The smartphone runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 out of the box, and comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It’s confirmed to get 5 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support.

Cameras are a major focus of the Reno 15c with a triple-camera setup. It includes a 50MP main sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, while the front houses a 50MP shooter capable of 4K video recording. The smartphone also gets features such as AI Flash Photography 2.0, AI Portrait Glow, and AI Motion Photo Slo-mo. It’s a versatile camera setup, although the absence of a telephoto might deter some, especially those who are into zoom photography.

The Reno 15c also houses a large 7,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, making it a good choice for reliable battery life as well.

OPPO’s latest Reno lineup is no longer limited to two models as the brand has launched four phones. The Reno 15c is the affordable offering, giving buyers an alternative option to the more expensive Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro. Then there’s the Reno 15 Pro Mini, which acts as the compact flagship in the lineup. With a wide portfolio, OPPO is targeting different price categories in the premium mid-range segment.

The Reno 15c is a pretty phone with a durable design. It makes sense for those who want good cameras, reliable battery life, and a compact form factor that’s not too small nor too big. However, those who prioritise performance may want to consider other options in the segment, like the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and the OPPO K13 Turbo
