OPPO is ready to unveil the Reno 15 series in India tomorrow, January 8th, and this time, the lineup will be a bit different from past Reno events. The company has confirmed three phones will debut: the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini. OPPO has tweaked the naming for India. Globally, the series launched with a regular Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Max. Here, the global Reno 15 Pro becomes the Reno 15 Pro Mini, and the global Pro Max is simply the Reno 15 Pro. No Pro Max name makes it to India.
The event starts at 12 noon and streams live on OPPO’s official YouTube channel. We’ve embedded the link below for you to watch the event live.
A compact Reno finally arrives
The Reno 15 Pro Mini is the standout. OPPO has never done a compact phone in the Reno lineup before, and it lines up with the trend towards smaller premium devices. More brands are offering compact flagships that pack serious specs, and OPPO wants in on that action.
The Reno 15 Pro Mini brings a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, weighs about 187 grams, and stays just under 8mm thick. That puts it right alongside phones like the OnePlus 13s, Vivo X200 FE, Vivo X300, and OPPO’s own Find X9. With the Reno 15 Pro Mini, you don’t get a stripped-down version. It’s the same core camera setup as the bigger Pro model, plus a battery that punches above its size.
Design and durability stay front and centre
Design remains at the heart of the Reno series like always. All three Reno 15 models feature OPPO’s new HoloFusion glass finish, which creates a layered, three-dimensional effect from one sculpted glass panel. The square-ring camera module sits flush with the back instead of jutting out awkwardly.
Colour choices differ by model. The Reno 15 Pro comes in Sunset Gold and Cocoa Brown. The Pro Mini offers Cocoa Brown plus Glacier White with a ribbon-like texture. The standard Reno 15 gets Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue.

Displays and protection
Screen sizes vary across the lineup. The Reno 15 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Pro Mini uses a 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 7i. OPPO hasn’t confirmed India-specific specs for the standard Reno 15 yet, but the global version has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 7i. All three run FHD+ AMOLED panels with 10-bit colour and adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, delivering smooth scrolling and solid efficiency.
Durability stays consistent. All three phones carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, handling splashes, freshwater immersion, and high-pressure hot water. OPPO has also added a platinum-coated USB-C port to resist corrosion over time, a smart detail for longevity.
Cameras focus on flexibility
The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini both pack a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto handles portraits well and offers lossless zoom for far-off subjects. The standard Reno 15 steps down to a 50MP main camera but keeps the 3.5x telephoto, a rare perk for a base model. For video, the Pro models record 4K HDR at up to 60fps across all cameras, including the front, with stabilisation and colour consistency when switching lenses.

Performance, battery, and AI
India’s Reno 15 Pro and Pro Mini should run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, built on a 4nm process. The standard Reno 15 may get the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 if OPPO sticks with the global configuration. OPPO has confirmed AI Gaming Antenna System Acceleration for better gaming signals.
Batteries impress with 6,200mAh on the Pro Mini, and 6,500mAh on the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15, both with 80W fast charging. Efficient chips and screens should easily deliver all-day use.
AI centres on editing rather than generation. AI Editor 3.0 offers AI Portrait Glow, AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo, and Popout for layered image effects.
Expected pricing and who should buy what
Leaks suggest the Reno 15 starts around Rs 45,999, Pro Mini near Rs 60,000 after discounts, and Reno 15 Pro at Rs 67,999. That’s much higher than last year’s Reno14 series which started at Rs 37,999 with the Pro’s top variant topping out at Rs 54,999, though industry-wide rising memory costs explain some of it. OPPO hasn’t confirmed prices yet, so treat these cautiously.

The Reno 15 Pro Mini should appeal to anyone wanting compact size without losing camera power or battery life. The Reno 15 Pro fits users who prefer larger screens for media and gaming with identical cameras. The standard Reno 15 targets value buyers who still want telephoto and fast charging. Final prices will determine competitiveness, but OPPO aims to hit more user needs this time, especially with the compact Pro Mini.
