This is the third price hike for the X8 Pro Max since launch. The 12GB + 256GB model has now become Rs 6,000 more expensive than its original Rs 42,999 launch price, while the 512GB variant has risen by the same amount from its initial Rs 46,999 price.

This is also the third price hike for the X8 Pro. Both variants are now Rs 7,000 above their launch prices, with the 8GB + 256GB model having increased from Rs 32,999 and the 12GB + 256GB variant from Rs 35,999.
Price revisions have become common across the smartphone market as brands look to offset rising memory prices.
Should you buy the POCO X8 Pro or X8 Pro Max?
The latest hike makes the POCO X8 Pro not as value-centric as its launch, particularly now that the base 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs 39,999. At this price, buyers have more options to consider, including phones, which offer a better overall package despite lower performance in some areas. One such example is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, which is also a stellar camera phone and a good performer.
The POCO X8 Pro Max remains the more premium option, but its Rs 48,999 starting price places it in a more competitive segment. The 12GB + 512GB variant now crosses Rs 50,000 and faces competition from other performance-centric phones like the iQOO 15R or the Motorola Edge 70 Max, making it less of a clear choice than it used to be.
Users who do not need to upgrade immediately are better off waiting, especially since further price hikes still remain a possibility. If you do need a performance-centric smartphone soon, it’s best to buy these devices right now.
