According to a report, the microsite on Flipkart has confirmed that the new handset is a member of the Realme 12 series, as observed from a closer examination of the URL. However, the URL has been revised since then and no longer discloses such details. The tagline for the new smartphone is "Beyond 200MP, Periscope awaits," suggesting a potential competition with Redmi's Note 13 series, which features 200MP primary cameras in the Pro and Pro+ variants.

Realme has also released two camera samples, showcasing a low-light portrait capture and highlighting its zoom capabilities. The teaser also features a special offer: users who exchange their 200MP smartphone for the upcoming Realme 12 series handset will receive complimentary Realme Buds Air5 earbuds, valued at Rs 3,699.

Realme 12 Pro series: what we know so far

• Design: A recent leak has revealed the design of the upcoming Realme 12 Pro. The phone will be available in black, orange, and cream colours. The latter two will feature a yellowish vertical strip in the middle and are expected to come with a vegan leather finish, while the black variant may have a glass back.
• Chipset: A leak suggests that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset will power the Realme 12 Pro+, while an undisclosed octa-core SoC with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz will power the Pro variant.
• Rear Cameras: The Realme 12 Pro is likely to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 32MP secondary lens, and an 8MP sensor. Meanwhile, the Realme 12 Pro+ is speculated to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens, offering 3x optical zoom, accompanied by a 50MP secondary lens and an 8MP camera.
• Front camera: The Realme 12 Pro is expected to come with a 16MP selfie shooter, while the Pro+ is likely to feature a 32MP selfie camera.
• Battery: As per the TENAA listing, a 4,880mAh battery will fuel both the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+.
