Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition come with a colour-changing back panel, Buds T500 Pro also gets a Hogwarts makeover

The company hasn’t yet revealed pricing or availability dates for the new products. However, an event page on Realme’s India website and a Flipkart teaser confirm that the Harry Potter phone will be sold in India. A report that has revealed the phone and buds’ design also claims the latter will come to India too. A Realme teaser also mentions a pop-up event on September 21st, although the company has not yet explained what it will involve.

Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition

The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition appears to be based (via) on the Master Gold version of the phone. Its rear panel has a diamond-patterned finish and is designed to change colour, with Realme describing it as the world’s first “quadra light-sensing” colour-changing technology. The back also carries a large metallic Hogwarts crest featuring the symbols of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. The school’s Latin motto, “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus”, is also included, while “Welcome to Hogwarts” is written along the right frame. The marketing images shown in the report match the render that was leaked earlier.

The hardware is expected to remain the same as the regular Realme 16 Pro. That means buyers could get a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max, 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging, a 200MP OIS main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera and 50MP selfie camera. An earlier leak suggested the phone will come in a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, which was launched at Rs 36,999, although current pricing for the series has risen, with models listed from around Rs 44,999 and this top-end variant costing Rs 49,999.

Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition

The Realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition follows the same brown-and-gold theme. The earbuds feature an “H” design, while the charging case gets a Hogwarts crest and what appears to be a vegan leather finish. The retail package also includes a Hogwarts-inspired case and accessories, making it more collectible than the standard model.

The regular Realme Buds T500 Pro launched in India at Rs 2,799 and are now priced at Rs 3,199. They offer up to 50dB ANC, 12.4mm Hi-Res drivers, LHDC 5.0, up to 56 hours of battery life, Bluetooth 6.1 and a 45ms low-latency model.

Realme has not confirmed whether the Harry Potter versions will cost more than the standard products. If they carry a premium, the regular Realme 16 Pro and Buds T500 Pro will make more sense for buyers who simply want the hardware. The limited editions are aimed more at Harry Potter fans who value the themed designs and packaging. Xiaomi had done something similar with Harry Potter editions of Redmi phones, including the Redmi Note 12 Turbo in 2023 and Redmi Turbo 3 in 2024.
