Realme has launched the Realme C100i 4G in India as a budget smartphone for buyers who prioritise battery life and a smoother display. The phone brings a 6,500mAh battery, 120Hz refresh rate and IP64 rating, but remains a 4G device in a segment where buyers seek 5G options.
Price and availability
The Realme C100i 4G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the sole 4GB + 64GB storage variant. It will go on sale from today through mainline retail stores, Flipkart and Realme’s official website.
The phone is available in Midnight Black and BlackSkyline Silver colours. Buyers can also get seven-month EMI with one month’s EMI discounted, eight-month EMI with two months’ EMI discounted, or 10-month EMI with three months’ EMI discounted through mainline stores. At Rs 14,999, the C100i 4G faces competition from phones like the Lava Virat V1 series that offers 5G connectivity in the segment.
Specifications
The Realme C100i 4G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 900 nits peak brightness. The screen has a 90.4 percent screen-to-body ratio and supports DC Dimming. Powering the phone is a 4G chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in the launch variant. It runs Realme UI based on Android 16, with the company promising three years of lag-free performance. The phone also supports 10W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge compatible accessories or other devices.
The 6,500mAh battery supports 15W fast charging. While the capacity is competitive, charging is relatively slow compared with some similarly priced 5G phones. For cameras, the phone has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It also gets IP64 dust and water resistance, military-grade shock resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
At this price, the C100i’s battery and 120Hz screen are its strongest features. However, buyers who want 5G, stronger performance or better cameras can find more capable alternatives around Rs 15,000, making it worth comparing those options before choosing the new Realme phone.
