Realme is preparing to expand its number series lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16T on May 22nd. Positioned as a more affordable alternative to the existing Realme 16 series, the upcoming smartphone is expected to target buyers looking for a large battery, AI-backed camera features, and dependable everyday performance. Ahead of its debut, the India pricing of the handset has leaked online, giving a clearer picture of where the device could sit in the mid-range segment.
Realme 16T India pricing leaked
According to a new leak by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Realme 16T could be priced at Rs 29,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options may cost Rs 31,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively. This would place the handset below the standard Realme 16 lineup, which starts at Rs 33,999.
| Variant | Price |
| 6GB + 128GB | Rs 29,999 |
| 8GB + 128GB | Rs 31,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs 33,999 |
Realme 16T specifications
The Realme 16T is confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and an additional 10GB RAM Boost feature for improved multitasking. This chipset isn’t what you typically see in this price segment, so the phone might not be performance-focused. It packs a massive 8,000mAh battery that Realme claims can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge, alongside around 11 hours of continuous 60fps BGMI gameplay. Despite the large battery, the phone measures 8.8mm in thickness and supports 45W wired charging.

On the optics front, the device will sport a 50MP primary rear camera using the Sony IMX852 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support, alongside a 2MP secondary sensor. The camera setup is backed by Realme’s LumaColor IMAGE Engine, which uses AI processing to improve skin tones, texture, and edge sharpness in portrait shots. Additional features such as AI Portrait Glow, AI Popout Collage, AI StyleMe, and AI Instant Clip are also included. The phone additionally carries a rear Selfie Mirror feature, allowing users to preview shots while using the rear camera, similar to the feature introduced on the Realme 16.
The handset features a 6.8-inch LCD display, offering a large viewing area for gaming and video streaming. However, buyers expecting deep blacks and richer contrast similar to AMOLED panels may find the screen less premium compared to some rivals in this segment.
At its leaked pricing, the Realme 16T appears to be positioned for users who want a reliable battery life, a large display, and dependable performance for daily use. If Realme manages to pair the hardware with aggressive launch offers, the smartphone could emerge as a strong option for students, casual users, and heavy users looking for battery endurance. However, those who have performance in mind might want to check out alternatives with better chipsets.
