Realme GT 8 Pro is launching in India this month as the brand’s latest flagship smartphone. It’s confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and also come with Ricoh GR imaging support for photography. Realme GT 8 Pro has already made its debut in China, and now the brand has confirmed an Aston Martin F1 Edition for the phone. This special edition is launching in China on November 10th, although there’s no word on whether it will arrive in India or not.
This would be the second partnership with Aston Martin, as the Realme GT 7 Dream Edition launched earlier this May in India, which was also designed by the Formula 1 team. The Realme GT 8 Pro Aston Martin F1 Edition is clad in the F1 team’s iconic green colour. The branding is also visible on the back of the phone, further marking the partnership. The Realme GT 8 Pro comes in another green colour but a much lighter shade.
The Realme GT 8 Pro Aston Martin F1 Edition is expected to come with a special packaging box and accessories. It will most likely feature custom themes, wallpapers, and icons as well.
In addition to this special design of the Realme GT 8 Pro, the smartphone also comes with interchangeable cameras. You can change the rear camera module and swap it for a different one. It comes in square, round, and a “robot” style, and in different colours. Realme’s GT series has primarily focused on specs, but with the latest GT 8 Pro, it looks like there’s been considerable attention paid to the design as well. Also, with a modular functionality, buyers might enjoy the flexibility of the Realme GT 8 Pro’s design.
Other than the design and features, the hardware would be the same as the regular version of the Realme GT 8 Pro. It has a 6.79-inch QHD+ (1,440×3,136 pixels) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 7,000 nits peak brightness. On the software front, the Realme GT 8 Pro runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. The smartphone packs a 7,000mAh battery, a major upgrade from the GT 7 Pro’s 5,800mAh battery. It also comes with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
The Realme GT 8 Pro sports a 50MP primary camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with x optical zoom and 6x lossless zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera. The smartphone features Ricoh GR imaging, including a dedicated “Ricoh GR Mode” in the camera app. This partnership is also said to deliver exceptional anti-glare performance, enhanced resolving power, and minimal distortion for clear and true-to-life images on the Realme GT 8 Pro.
In China, the Realme GT 8 Pro starts at CNY 3,999 (Rs 49,400 approx). It will most likely be priced higher in India, as the Realme GT 7 Pro launched at a starting price of Rs 59,999. It would still make the GT 8 Pro one of the more affordable flagships. With a similar price range, top-end hardware, improved cameras, and a refreshed design, the Realme GT 8 Pro has quite a lot going for it. The new flagship appears to be more refined, with a focus on design and cameras, but still keeping performance at its core. All this makes the Realme GT 8 Pro a highly anticipated phone, and one that you should definitely wait for before purchasing your next flagship.
