Realme is adding another smartphone to its P-series with the Realme P4R. This will be the seventh phone to join the Realme P4 lineup, which currently has the Realme P4 Pro, P4x, P4 Power, and P4 Lite (4G and 5G models). It’s also the first ‘R’ model in the P series, so it’s not clear where exactly the phone will sit in terms of hierarchy. There’s a Realme P4s rumoured as well, with its launch tipped to take place next month, but no official word on it yet.
Realme P4R India launch teased
Realme P4R is officially teased to launch in India. The launch reveal was made on Flipkart with a dedicated microsite for the same. So far, only the phone’s name has been revealed and no other details. Realme teases it, saying, “The R evolution is coming,” with no hint about what to expect. The ‘R’ here might imply a focus on a specific feature like battery life or camera, appealing to users prioritising those aspects. For example, the Realme P4 Power focuses on endurance with its massive 10,001mAh battery.
The rest of the microsite talks about the existing Realme P4 series models, highlighting key details about the phones. It’s worth mentioning that Realme already has several phones in the P4 series, spanning across different price segments. So, the new Realme P4R could be to ensure the brand’s presence. However, Realme’s relentless P-series expansion might also make it increasingly challenging for consumers to differentiate between models.

The Realme P4R was mentioned earlier this year, in March, by tipster Abhishek Yadav. The smartphone carries the model number RMX5266, and it will launch in three memory configurations: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB. The Realme P4R’s colour options were also revealed: Silver Glare, Titanium Glare and Lavender Glare.
Based on the moniker, the Realme P4R could be an affordable model in the lineup. At present, the Realme P4 Lite is the cheapest, priced at Rs 13,999. The Realme P4R will possibly sit above the Realme P4x, which is currently available at Rs 22,449.
Since we don’t have any details about the Realme P4R’s specifications, we can’t say much about what to expect from the smartphone. It will most likely be offered as a budget to mid-range option with key highlights different from the other Realme P4 series phones. Given the current lack of details, potential buyers should wait for the official launch and full specifications before making any purchasing decisions. If you’re currently using an older Realme P-series phone, it’s unlikely the P4R, especially if it’s a budget model, will offer a significant upgrade unless your primary concern is a specific feature that might be hinted at during the launch.
