Almost five months after launching the Realme Watch 5, the brand has today unveiled the Realme Watch S5, alongside the Realme 16T and Buds Air 8 Pro. While the Watch 5 sported a square dial, the Watch S5 gets a rounded 1.43-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,000 nits brightness levels. While the smartwatch’s highlights revolve around the extensive battery life and multiple sports modes, the Watch S5 could shape up to be a reliable utility device for catching up on daily notifications and tracking sleep and blood oxygen levels.

Realme Watch S5 quick specifications overview
As noted above, the Realme Watch S5 gets a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,000 nits of brightness. The display resolution stands at 466 x 466 with a pixel density of 302 PPI. The rounded dial is constructed entirely using aluminium, while the display is protected using Panda Glass, the same protective layer we’ve often seen on smartphones. With the strap included, the watch weighs 49.63g, which is fairly light for daily wear in our opinion.
Coming to the key highlight of the Watch S5, which are the expansive health and fitness tracking modes and monitoring features, it supports over 110 sports modes, including running courses, stretching guides, aerobic training effect, recovery duration, and sports rankings. All the sensors on the watch work in tandem to track daily steps, calories burned, distance covered, and offer standing reminders.
What’s more, the Watch S5 integrates GPS tracking, powered by five global satellite navigation systems, to keep tabs on the routes you’ve taken during your walks or runs. As for the advanced health monitoring features, it supports heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep, stress, and women’s health tracking, and even noise monitoring. It’s good to see Realme bundling several key tracking features at this price point, which should support users’ well-being.

Some of the smart and connectivity features include Bluetooth calling for directly making calls from the watch, as it also packs a dedicated speaker for sound output, along with a microphone. Taking advantage of the AMOLED panel, the Realme Watch S5 also features Always On Display (AOD) with multiple vibrant watch faces. Boasting a 460mAh battery, Realme claims the smartwatch can last up to 16 days in standard mode and 20 days with the light smart mode enabled.
With magnetic charging support, the watch takes around 2.5 hours for a full charge. For durability, it features 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for water exposure, workouts, and regular use.
Coming at Rs 7,999, the Realme Watch S5 competes directly with the recently launched CMF Watch 3 Pro by Nothing, which also gets a 1.43-inch round AMOLED display. While we praised the Watch 3 Pro for its extensive lineup of features in our review, it’ll be worth seeing how the Realme Watch S5 stacks up against it since it also ges similar set of features, such as Bluetooth calling, multiple sports modes, and more.
