Redmi Note 15 5G series launched globally with battery and camera upgrades: price, specifications, features

The Note 15 5G comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, while the Pro and Pro+ switch to slightly larger 6.83-inch CrystalRes panels with increased brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. All three support 120Hz refresh rates and in-display fingerprint scanners. In terms of durability, the Note 15 bumps the rating up to IP65, while the Pro and Pro+ get IP68. This is a natural upgrade from the Note 14 series, where the Note 14 5G had IP64 and the Note 14 Pro and Pro+ offered IP68/IP69, but on smaller bodies and with different camera modules.

Performance changes are also expected this year. The Note 15 5G uses the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, an upgrade over the Note 14 5G’s Dimensity 7025 Ultra built on 6nm. The Note 15 Pro swaps to MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultra globally, compared to the Note 14 Pro’s Dimensity 7300 Ultra. The Note 15 Pro+ uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, replacing last year’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 on the Note 14 Pro+. RAM goes up to 12GB in the Pro+ much like the predecessors, though storage still sticks to UFS 2.2.

Batteries are larger across the board – 5,520mAh on the Note 15, 6,580mAh on the Pro and 6,500mAh with 100W charging on the Pro+. This is a clear step up from the Note 14 series, which had battery sizes that ranged from 5,110mAh to 6,200mAh and charging speeds that topped out at 90W.

Cameras also see one of the largest generational jumps. The Note 15 5G carries a 108MP main camera, double the resolution of the 50MP sensors used in both the Note 14 and Note 14 Pro models. The Note 15 Pro and Pro+, on the other hand, offer 200MP sensors with 4x optical zoom. That’s a major shift from the Note 14 Pro+, which had a 50MP triple-camera setup with 2.5x optical zoom. All three include an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while the Pros get an additional 2MP macro shooter. Selfie cameras also get a bump, particularly on the Pro+, at 32MP from the preceding 20MP.

All three models run on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with support for Google Gemini AI features. Connectivity options are familiar with 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BeiDou, an IR blaster, and USB-C supported.

Compared to their Chinese counterparts launched in August, the global Note 15 Pro shifts from Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. Battery sizes are also different, with the China variant of the Redmi Note 15 Pro packing a 7,000mAh battery. However, the charging tops at 90W in China. The camera setups are also different as the Pro models in China have 50MP main cameras, while the Pro+ also has a 50MP telephoto lens.

In Poland, the Redmi Note 15 5G starts at PLN 1,199 (around Rs 30,000) for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The Note 15 Pro 5G is priced at PLN 1,699 (around Rs 43,000) for the 8GB + 256GB version, while the Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is available at PLN 1,999 (around Rs 50,000) for 8GB + 256GB and PLN 2,299 (around Rs 58,000) for 12GB + 256GB. The pricing in India is expected to be lower. Colour options are Black, Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Mocha Brown, depending on the model. Sales begin on December 18th in Poland.

India, meanwhile, will get a special edition, at least going by the nomenclature. The Redmi Note 15 5G 108 MasterPixel Edition, will launch in the country on January 6th, 2026. Redmi hasn’t shared the full specifications for now, and neither the global nor Chinese lineup has a device under this name. While the global Note 15 5G features a camera of the same 108MP resolution, this India-only version seems to be a tailored offering targeted at the market.

If you’re upgrading from a Note 14 device, then the most important upgrades you are going to feel are with regards to battery life, camera resolution, and sustained performance. The Note 15 5G is ideal for those who need a reliable, balanced phone, while the Note 15 Pro is the sweet spot in terms of balance between better performance and bigger batteries for those who don’t want to overspend. The Note 15 Pro+ makes sense for those who want faster charging and higher-end cameras.

With the Note 15 lineup, Redmi seems to be trying to stretch the distance between its entry and Pro models so that each tier feels more defined. It’s keeping the familiar Note-series appeal by offering big batteries and strong cameras while not making prices too high to bear. The India-only MasterPixel Edition fits is a strategy for Redmi to stay competitive by giving high-volume markets something tailored rather than recycled from global launches.
