After launching the sub-Rs 25,000 Redmi Note 15 earlier this month, Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ for the Indian market, both of which offer better hardware and come at higher mid-range prices than the base model. Starting at Rs 29,999, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series is pricier than its predecessors but offers impressive specifications to justify the price, including a new 200MP camera, a larger 6,500mAh battery, and up to 100W fast charging, among others.
Redmi Note 15 Pro series India price, offers, and sale date
Starting with the price, the Redmi Note 15 Pro will be available at Rs 29,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 8GB+256GB option costs Rs 31,999. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ starts at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, with the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB options priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 43,999, respectively. This marks the first time the Note series has crossed the Rs 40,000 threshold in India, likely due to the global memory chip shortage.
Buyers can avail up to Rs 3,000 instant discount using an HDFC Bank credit card or credit card EMIs, bringing the effective starting price of the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ down to Rs 26,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. You can pre-book the phones on Amazon right now for Rs 1,999, which will be credited as Amazon Pay Balance before the purchase is completed on February 3rd between 10 AM and 11:59 PM. The phones will go on sale for everyone on February 4th.
Buyers who pre-book will receive a 1-year screen replacement for both phones. Additionally, customers who pre-book the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will receive the Redmi Watch Move for free. The Note 15 Pro+ will be available in Coffee Mocha, Mirage Blue, and Carbon Black, while the Note 15 Pro will be available in Silver Ash, Mirage Blue, and Carbon Black.
Redmi Note 15 Pro, Note 15 Pro+ specifications and features

Both the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ share a few key specifications, including larger batteries than their predecessors. The former houses a 6,580mAh battery, while the latter features a 6,500mAh unit, which are among the largest yet in a Redmi Note device. Still, the Note 15 Pro+ should charge quickly thanks to 100W HyperCharge support (charger included in the box). The Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, will take longer to charge as it maxes out at 45W.
Despite getting bigger batteries, both the Redmi Note 15 Pro models are slimmer than their predecessors. The vanilla Note 15 Pro measures 7.96mm (Note 14 Pro measured 8.4mm), while the Mocha Brown leather variant of the Note 15 Pro+ measures 8.47mm (Note 14 Pro+’s leather variant measured 8.85mm). They are slightly heavier now, though.
Durability is a key feature of both Redmi Note 15 Pro models. You get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front that should offer impressive scratch resistance. Additionally, the phones receive IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust- and water-resistance ratings, making them among the most durable in their class. IP69K, for those unaware, provides protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
We see a new camera system this time, with both the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ featuring a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor for ultra-clear photos. The new sensor should deliver sharper photos with plenty of detail, even after cropping, which is why the brand promises 2x and 4x optical-level zoom. This should also compensate for the fact that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ loses the telephoto lens. But we can only know for sure after reviewing the device.
The rear camera system includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera on both devices. At the front, you get a 20MP sensor on the Redmi Note 15 Pro and a 32MP sensor on the Note 15 Pro+, a bump up from the 20MP sensor used on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.
Day-to-day performance is handled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra on the Redmi Note 15 Pro. Both are 4nm chips and successors to the chips that powered the Redmi Note 14 Pro models. They should deliver incremental performance gains over their predecessors.

The only real difference, as far as design is concerned, is that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a curved front and back with an optional Mocha Brown leather finish, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro is a flat phone with glass back options only.
On the software side, the Redmi Note 15 Pro ships with HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15. Xiaomi has promised that HyperOS 3.0 will arrive soon and that the phones will receive four years of major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, ensuring longevity.
Given the pricing and hardware, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ squarely compete with the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ in the Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 segment. Both lineups look good on paper, with similar 200MP cameras and up to IP69K durability, but the Realme 16 Pro phones boast larger 7,000mAh batteries, smoother 144Hz displays, and higher-resolution 50MP front cameras, which might give them an edge over the Redmi twins.
On paper, the phones appear aimed at buyers who prefer large phones with solid durability and reliable battery life. Current Redmi Note 14 Pro users might find the new 200MP camera, bigger battery, and longer software support compelling enough to make the switch. But they might not see a significant performance boost. If a telephoto lens or a higher refresh-rate display is crucial, Realme alternatives may be more suitable. If you’re unsure which of the two Redmi phones to choose, the decision largely comes down to whether you prefer a flat or curved display. Stay tuned for our review of the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+, to better help you decide which phone to buy.
