After launching its flagship Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is now focusing on its premium mid-range lineup with new Galaxy A-series phones. The Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 are set to launch in India on March 25th. Samsung hasn’t revealed the phones’ names, but based on leaks and rumours so far, it’s speculated to be the Galaxy A57 and A37. These phones will also succeed the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36, which debuted around the same time last year.
Samsung’s Galaxy A-series caters to the budget and midrange segments. With the Galaxy A57 and A37, Samsung targets the upper mid-range category, offering a premium design, versatile cameras, and long-term software support.
The teaser image shared by Samsung shows a glimpse of the phone’s design from the side. The power button and volume keys are stacked together on the side, and the camera module continues to follow a vertical layout. Samsung hasn’t revealed any additional information about the upcoming Galaxy A-series. Still, a microsite for the launch event is available, along with a ‘Notify Me’ button for those who want to receive the latest updates.

According to recent leaks, the Galaxy A57 is expected to launch in Charcoal, Icy Blue, Grey, Lilac, and Navy colours. The Galaxy A37 will be available in White, Charcoal, Greygreen, Lavender and Navy. All colour variants are expected to retain the ‘Awesome’ branding.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A57 is expected to feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The smartphone is expected to house a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP sensor. For selfies, it could launch with a 12MP front camera. The Galaxy A57 could house a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. More expected specs include Android 16, dual stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for the Galaxy A57.
The Galaxy A37 is expected to offer a similar set of specifications, but with key differences, including a slightly larger 6.7-inch display and the Exynos 1480 running under the hood. Both smartphones are also getting an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. This would mark an upgrade over the IP67 rating offered by their predecessors.
Based on the leaked details so far, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 might offer upgrades in terms of performance and durability. The camera setup is similar to that of previous models, but we can expect improvements, such as enhanced sensors or software upgrades.
The new Galaxy A-series phones may also launch at higher prices, given the ongoing trend due to increased component costs. Their predecessors, the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56, have also recently received price hikes, pushing them into the sub-Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000 brackets. If you plan to purchase the Galaxy A36 or Galaxy A56 at their revised prices, it may make more sense to wait for the A37 and A57 and see what improvements they offer. However, buyers who prioritise bigger batteries and top-notch performance may want to compare with alternatives for better value.
The Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 are expected to be popular more for their software experience and support, bright AMOLED displays, and an overall balanced package.
