Samsung Galaxy S25 price hiked in India by up to Rs 12,000
Samsung has increased the price of the Galaxy S25 in India by up to Rs 12,000, with the revision affecting its 256GB and 512GB variants. The price change takes effect from August 19th i.e today. The move comes as smartphone makers contend with rising memory component costs. The price revision was shared by a tipster who posted Samsung’s retailer communication which did not cite a reason for the price increase.

According to the Samsung communication shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the 12GB + 256GB Galaxy S25 now has a recommended list price of Rs 84,999, up from Rs 80,999. The 12GB + 512GB version has seen a larger Rs 12,000 increase, taking its price from Rs 92,999 to Rs 1,04,999.

The 12GB + 128GB Galaxy S25 remains priced at Rs 74,999. This variant arrived in India later through select retail channels after the phone’s global launch, and is not included in the latest price revision.

The hike comes after several Android smartphone brands have raised prices across their portfolios amid higher memory costs. Samsung, along with Apple and Google, had largely held off on similar increases to their flagship phones, but that has now changed with the S25 price revision.
Should you buy the Galaxy S25?
Being a generation older does not take away from the Galaxy S25’s flagship hardware. However, the S25’s compact form factor, flagship performance and dedicated telephoto camera continue to give it a distinct place in Samsung’s lineup. Even though the price has been hiked on the official page, the S25’s discounted street price across retailers like Amazon makes sense for buyers, particularly for those looking for a compact flagship with long-term software support.
