Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo T5x 5G in India, with the smartphone scheduled to debut on March 17th. The upcoming device will expand the company’s T-series lineup, which typically focuses on offering strong performance and battery capacity at competitive prices in the budget and mid-range segment. With the T5x 5G, Vivo has confirmed the handset’s battery, durability, and chipset details, suggesting upgrades for better performance.
The Vivo T5x 5G appears to borrow design cues from the company’s more premium Vivo V70 series. Official teaser images show a similar camera module layout and clean rear panel design, giving the phone a more premium aesthetic despite its expected mid-range positioning.

One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5x is its 7,200mAh battery, which Vivo claims will be the largest in the segment. The large capacity should appeal to users who prioritise battery endurance for gaming, streaming, and heavy daily usage. In real-world scenarios, it should give a good two-day usage.
Powering the device will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor, which Vivo says is designed to deliver “blazing-fast performance.” The chipset is expected to offer improvements in gaming performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor. The handset is also said to have achieved an AnTuTu score of more than one million points, suggesting top-tier performance in the segment. The smartphone will also ship with OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, the latest software version, offering a refined UI with smoother animations and better customisation than the previous one.
The Vivo T5x is also confirmed to get IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, which is a major upgrade from the Vivo T4x‘s IP64 rating.
Although Vivo has yet to reveal full specifications, the T5x 5G is expected to target buyers looking for a phone that prioritises battery life, durability, and performance. Vivo has also hinted at the T5x’s price, which could fall under Rs 23,000. If so, it would confirm a price hike over the Vivo T4x, which launched at Rs 13,999. The T4x is currently priced at Rs 16,999, after a price hike, so the new price for its successor may still be justifiable.
If Vivo prices the T5x 5G competitively, the combination of a 7,200mAh battery, a new Dimensity chipset, and strong durability could make it an attractive option for users who prioritise performance and reliable battery life. We’d still have to assess the phone’s overall performance and get details on its cameras and display for a clearer picture. For now, you can wait for the Vivo T5x and see how it’s compared to rivals in the same segment.
More details, including pricing, camera specifications, and availability, will be revealed when Vivo officially launches the Vivo T5x 5G in India on March 17th at 12 PM.
