Vivo appears to be preparing two more additions to its smartphone lineup, with the X500 FE receiving another international certification and the V80 FE now listed on the company’s official Philippines website, besides appearing on certifications in other countries. While the latest certification doesn’t reveal much about the X500 FE, the V80 FE listing provides a detailed look at its design and specifications. Both phones have also appeared in multiple regional databases, suggesting Vivo could be preparing a wider rollout.
The Vivo X500 FE, carrying model number V2653, has appeared on Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) database under registration number SER/26/0337. The listing identifies it as a 5G mobile phone with WLAN, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, but doesn’t disclose any other specifications.
This follows earlier appearances on Indonesia’s TKDN and Europe’s EEC databases. The model numbers V2653 and V2654 have also appeared in the IMEI database, suggesting that Vivo is preparing regional variants of the phone.
Vivo hasn’t confirmed the X500 FE’s specifications. However, leaks suggest it could feature a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a 6,500mAh battery. Its reported camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Other tipped features include 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging and a 50MP selfie camera. Its compact display, flagship chipset and periscope camera look promising, but its value will depend on how it compares with others.
The Vivo V80 FE has gone a step further, with its official Philippines product page revealing its specifications and design. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo chipset, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery with 90W charging and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings. Its rear camera setup comprises a 50MP Zeiss main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. There’s also a 50MP Zeiss selfie camera with autofocus, and both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. Vivo is listing the phone in Chill Green and Sparkling Gold finishes.
Compared with the V70 FE, the V80 FE brings a newer Dimensity 7400-Turbo chipset over the Dimensity 7360-Turbo, along with a triple 50MP Zeiss camera setup. The ultrawide camera and selfie camera gain autofocus, but the main camera moves from a 200MP sensor to a 50MP unit. The display is also smaller at 6.59 inches, down from 6.83 inches. Battery capacity and charging remain unchanged at 7,000mAh and 90W, while the V80 FE switches to a glass back from the V70 FE’s plastic composite finish.
The V80 FE has also appeared on India’s BIS certification website, Thailand’s NBTC database, Malaysia’s SIRIM platform and Bluetooth SIG. It has additionally received Indonesia’s SDPPI and TKDN approvals. These listings don’t reveal further specifications, but indicate that the phone is being prepared for markets beyond the Philippines. The newer camera setup and chipset make it worth considering, but V70 FE owners have little reason to upgrade. The older model still offers a 200MP main camera and a larger display, so the V80 FE’s India pricing will be key.
