The Xiaomi 17T is set to launch in India on June 4th. While its specifications were unveiled during the global launch event in Europe, a new leak has now shed light on the handset’s Indian pricing. According to a reliable tipster, the Xiaomi 17T will arrive in India at a significantly more competitive price than its European counterpart, which retails for EUR 749 (roughly Rs 83,000). The smartphone is expected to be priced comfortably below Rs 70,000, a move that appears well-aligned with its mid-range performance credentials and could make it a compelling option in the segment.

Xiaomi 17T price in India (tipped)
The Xiaomi 17T may retail in India at Rs 65,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The tipster hasn’t shared the pricing of the top-end 512GB storage variant, which is available in Europe at roughly Rs 89,000.

The leaked pricing places the Xiaomi 17T squarely in the upper mid-range segment, where it will compete against the likes of the Motorola Signature, Vivo X200T, and Samsung Galaxy A56. On paper, however, Xiaomi appears to have a clear advantage, thanks to its massive 6,500mAh battery and a versatile Leica-tuned camera system, highlighted by a 5x optical telephoto lens, features that are rarely found together at this price point.
If Xiaomi manages to deliver a compelling overall experience, the 17T could emerge as one of the most well-rounded options in its segment and is worth waiting for. The handset will be available in three colourways: Black, Blue, and Violet.
Xiaomi 17T specifications
The complete specifications of the Xiaomi 17T Indian variant remain officially under wraps, but the details teased so far are in line with the global variant, and we have little doubt that the rest of the hardware will be identical as well.

The Xiaomi 17T sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, full DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Xiaomi has also included its in-house Surge T1 Plus and T1S chips, alongside a 3D IceLoop cooling system for improved thermal management.
For photography, the Leica-backed triple-camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Software-wise, the smartphone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W wired fast charging. It also supports Astro Communication, which is claimed to enable offline communication over distances of up to 1.3 kilometres in certain situations.
