The packing and delivery from Flipkart was very good as usual.nBut IFB's customer service is the worst I have seen of any manufacturer. They just don't care to provide installation and demo even after the registering a formal complaint. After witnessing their approach towards customers I am already regretting buying an IFB product even before using it. God knows how long will they make you wait if there is a problem with the product.nThe rating I am giving is for IFB and not Flipkart.
Some predefined food item can be selected from menu bar..... Customer demo service is not bad. Easy available service center @ em bypass (kolkata).nFlipkart price is high we bought it from Khoshla electronics @rs 12000 on 24th dec (2014)
Very disappointed with IFB. Bought for baking the cakes. But could not succeed either the cake was under cooked or burnt. I call the company person he said Oven is ok. I could not do any thing. I had to sell it on OLX with a loss of 3000. And bought Havelles OTG. I am satisfied now.
First of all, this is nothing about Flipkart.nnSo, I had this fancy about IFB after observing their front loading washing machines (I guess they introduced it first in India), that I will buy one but instead ended up getting this specific IFB microwave oven in early 2013. Since then, it hasn't been used much, and is generally kept very neat and clean and used mainly to warm food items. This December it was observed that food doesn't heat up inside, even though the light is On and the dish rotates as well. After trying to get the customer care (the numbers in the back panel to reach CC mostly doesn't work) for 2 days, finally someone gave a ticket/reference number and then we waited for 2-3 days again. After wasting an entire week just to get someone from the service center to take a look at the equipment, then came the idea to share this experience in an open forum like Facebook and it worked! The service guy came to our place within a day of reporting it in Facebook. In brief:nn1. It will be a costly affair as the touch panel has "probably" gone bad. Approximate expenses - 3000/-n2. This specific model has known issues and he himself has worked on multiple microwave ovens, SAME model on the SAME issue.n3. The spare touch panel is NOT available at the moment. Not sure when it will be available.n4. IFB won't recall these units, but has stopped manufacturing them. If after repair, something wrong happens again, then chances of getting a spare is nill.nnLessons learnt:nn1. The overall experience of IFB's after sales service is horrible. LG, Samsung still leads this space, so think ten times before buying anything from IFB.n2. If customer care doesn't respond in time, take two minutes to Like their Facebook page and share your experience there. This works for most of the brands.
