The OPPO Find X9 Pro packs a massive 7,500mAh battery - the largest ever seen on a flagship smartphone so far. OPPO has managed to house this powerhouse inside a body that's just 8.25mm thick, making it even slimmer than the iPhone 17 Pro models, which feature comparatively smaller batteries ranging from 4,252mAh to 5,088mAh. This feat is made possible by OPPO's third-generation Silicon-Carbon battery technology, which delivers higher energy density without adding bulk and is designed to retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity even after five years of typical use. While it'll take another 4 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks of testing to fully validate that claim, our testing already shows the Find X9 Pro offers truly impressive battery endurance.

The OPPO Find X9 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 10-bit colour panel covering 100 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut. It delivers a crisp 2,772 × 1,272 pixel resolution, supports an adaptive 1Hz – 120Hz refresh rate, and reaches an impressive 3,600 nits of peak brightness. You also get 2,160Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain, a minimum brightness of just 1 nit for comfortable night-time use, and full support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content.

OPPO has also refined the design of the Find X9 Pro. While it may not be radically new or unique, I've grown to appreciate it more than the previous-generation Find X8 Pro. The new flat-edged frame, combined with a velvet-finish back, offers a noticeably better grip, making the phone feel more secure and comfortable in the hand compared to the earlier curved edges and marble-like finish. The phone is available in two colour variants: Silk White and Titanium Charcoal.

Besides the power and volume buttons, the OPPO Find X9 Pro can be found with two additional keys: Snap Key and Quick Button. The latter is positioned on the right spine, towards the bottom half of the phone, and functions similarly to the iPhone's Camera Button. Truth be told, I was not a fan of the button on iPhones, which can now be customised to any other action than just limited to camera controls, and I'm not a fan of it on the OPPO smartphone either.

The OPPO Find X9 Pro ships with the latest ColorOS 16, which is pre-installed on top of Android 16. The new software isn't significantly different from the previous iteration, but there are changes that are instantly noticeable, such as the AI-suggested widgets on the home screen, which display the most frequently used apps, battery health, steps walked, and more. The widget support is also expanding to more apps, such as music players, food delivery, and commute trackers, to provide a glanceable view of the information without launching the app. These widgets will further offer fluid animation when you interact with them, thanks to the more advanced Luminous Rendering Engine.

The OPPO Find X9 Pro AI features aren't as rich as the Galaxy AI and Pixel AI, but it still has some tricks up its sleeves to enhance productivity. The AI Mind Space is something OPPO is boasting about. The feature acts as your personalised space to store all your screenshots, notes, voice memos, and more. The AI in this space analyses all these elements to present you with relevant information up front, negating the need to go through them individually.
