Verdict
The Lava Helium 14 is a lightweight laptop, easy to carry around. It has good battery backup and flaunts a superb Full HD display. The solid state drive transfers file/s at a fast pace. However, the RAM is less. You can check out some other laptops with more RAM around this budget.

Display, Configuration and Body

The Lava Helium 14 laptop comes with a 14.1-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) LED backlit TN display and runs on Windows 10 Home Premium operating system. Under the hood, there is a 1.4GHz Intel Atom Quad-Core x5-Z8350 processor assisted by 2GB of DDR3 RAM and an integrated Intel HD Graphics card. The laptop measures 333 x 220 x 19.4mm and weighs only 1.45Kg. It is available in two colours - purple and silver.

Camera, Sound and Storage

There is a 2MP webcam armed above the display screen which comes in handy for the user for video calling and recording needs. It captures good quality videos and supports 720p HD video recording. The inbuilt microphone captures good quality sound and the dual speaker's output crisp clear sound. For storage needs, the Lava Helium 14 houses a 32GB solid state drive. 

Battery and Connectivity

Acting as a stamina provider is a Li-Po battery which claims to render a backup for around 9 hours. On the connectivity ground, the Lava Helium 14 offers a wide range of options such as a Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, one USB 3.0 slot, one USB 2.0 slot, an SD card reader, a headphone jack and a microphone jack.

Input Devices

Like other laptops, the Lava Helium 14 also features two common input devices - a touchpad and a chiclet keyboard. Both the input devices perform well and are quick to respond.
