When talking about this laptop, the first thing that solves most queries related to durability and quality is to highlight the fact that it's a ThinkPad, the original IBM series. It's been over a month since I have been using it(I didn't buy from Flipkart so don't think why I am not a "certified buyer") and so it is perfect to review about it. Display: 14" screen makes it an 'easy-enough' display which bundles the portability by being a bit smaller than the other Edge variant, e530. Weight: It is average when we talk about weight, I guess a little lighter than the corresponding Z series of IdeaPad. Battery Backup: I have experienced battery backup ranging from 4 hours(at least) upto 7 hours. Don't think that the laptop would give a high backup from day one, it started giving a good backup after a couple of weeks passed. An important point is use of power adapter more frequently than the battery for initial weeks, which I guess all laptop users already know. Durability: With an experience of merely 45 days, I'm not in position to say about Durability, but it's a ThinkPad, "The Business Standard Laptop", ought ot be durable and most reviews on the internet suggest that. Looks: Something I love! I don't like those glossy laptops, they look irritating. The matte look makes the user feel like using a classy thing, and not something that's common with everybody. Gamers: The only problem is that there is no room for a dedicated GPU in case you wish to upgrade at a later stage. You have to rely on the Intel HD Graphics alone. So gamers! e430 should not be anything in your wishlist. Everyday Users(NOT GAMING): e430 is the BEST choice and worth every penny! it is a better choice than consumer line IdeaPad, or Pavilion g6, or Inspiron(I don't know about XPS or dv6 so I'd not comment). Spend a little extra over that IdeaPad and buy yourself a Thinkpad, a complete package of Class, Quality, Durability and Amazingness!
Being the most busy business men of export import this Lenovo laptop has become a part of my life as it has made its fan by the some good features of it. Being the light weighted it has a good backing storage that helps me to store all the details of the stock and the client easily. It has the strong power backup that can be used for hours in a day. The warrant is being provided by the company that is good. Window 7 professional is being used in it which is user friendly; I can use the laptop easily. The audio is good of Dolby speakers in it and there are many ports in it in order to use peripherals and dongle in these ports. Lenovo has come with this laptop especially for the business class people. So my tension is reduced with this amazing device and is highly recommendable. The input devices are being used in it that is the keyboards with the soft keys which are spill-resistance which makes the typing on the keyboard fast and less tiring. There are devices such as track pad of the think pad Ultramar touch pad that will take the input easily and that can be used in the laptop for storing or editing purpose. The laptop has the other facility of the webcam of about 720p HD with low sensitivity in it. So pictures can also be clicked via webcam. The Bluetooth can also be used as an input device to share the file, data, and applications easily from one device to another. The audio system is of about the speakers of about the stereo speakers to make the music clear and loud with the facility of attaching the other types of speakers to it also. Processor with high speed can be seen in the laptop of processor used in the Intel core Ci5 that has shown a remarkable performance. It boost faster. Processing of many task is done at a time and it supports other software also as I have installed my inventory stock software on it that has shown many things on it. Ports are also there in it in order to attach many of the peripherals with the laptop; ports are of HDMI, VGA and the multi card port to install dongle in it. The Bluetooth is of the 4.0 version and it also connects to the devices very fast. All the operations are done on the time with all the processing. It is a little steeper in price as compared to other laptop brands, but this is one heck of a business machine, it just stands apart. I have the same laptop but with an Nvidia GeForce 610M card. I have been able to run all the latest games available on the market at this point in time and all of them work just about perfect with all the graphics in detail. The battery back-up is also good and you can adjust your power usage with help of their power manager software. I have been using it for 11 months now and I find it very durable but a little mangy at times as the matt surface will attract dust like nothing else. The best part of this laptop is that it is an entry level in the ThinkPad series, but in this price I find it hard to resist. The Dolby Digital Audio experience is something to watch out for. With this laptop I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I bought it for quite a few reasons that include: 1) the famous TrackPoint device in the keyboard 2) Steel hinges: which is very helpful if you are a little klutzy 3) for its overall matt finish 4) last but not the least, for it just being a ThinkPad.
