Affordable average product. Good for daily use

The porduct is good for normal daily use. Here are my impressions. 1) The product is sleek as advertised. Not more than an inch thick so it feels like a thin file. The screen size as well as the laptop keyboard/touchpad layout is not congested so it looks good when you open it from the fold. The touchpad position is a little bit left aligned so you can easily rest your right hand on the keyboard. I felt the numlock key is a bit too close to the backspace and accidently hits all the time when I type anything. They keyboard response is good but I felt the touchpad could be a little more better when it comes to scrolling(vertical scrolling is not smooth and I dont know if it supports horizontal scroll which would've been great because Win8.1 requires it for its metro ui). There are quick keys for closing windows, volume control, alterating windows and other common functions which is good. I liked the novo button next to the power outlet which lets you easily get into bios, do a factory reset etc., No more pressing del key and other frustrating combinations to get into bios. The sound is good and combo headphones work well with it. Even the speakers are loud and clear. The SD card slot does not have a dummy card cover and is left open. They could've provided a closure instead of leaving it open for dust. Some of the things i did not like about it is the labelling of the ports. They have used impressions on plastic with the same color for ports and you really have to struggle in the dark to figure out what port it is till you get used to it. They could've provided white labels instead of dark emboss. Camera is average and good for normal skype chat and stuff like that and mic is sensitive. Another disappointment is the max resolution suppported.1366x768. Some of the software i use like netbeans do not fit well in that aspect ratio and I had to change to lower resolution to get better view. And there are keys for brightness but no adjustment for contrast ???? Colors look pale and there is no adjust that can be easily spotted. There is only 1 USB 3.0 port and there were lot of junk software loaded into the system. There is also a good feature called one key restore which not only lets you restore your computer to factory settings but allows you to backup and restore to restore points created by you. But I guess only windows OS is supported. The one touch restore seems to be a lenovo branded version of Cyberlink software. Battery backup is around 4 hours on average usage. Performance is ok for most normal apps and 8GB RAM gives good performance. For the price and features it looks good compared to many other expensive brands.

amd laptop king

awesome. just no words to explain how best the configuration is. the ultimate set up. the days of intel dominance are a thing of past now. we have the powerful, affordable and majestic new generation amd processors which are matching and outperforming intel processors feature by feature. so fellows dont ever think twice about this beast, go for the beast for its killer looks and specs. a word about those intel loyalists who say amd processors produces lot of heat and noise, absolutely unfounded as its so super silent, butter smooth and hardly heats up even after hours of continuous usage. glad that i have my hands on this beast and not to forget the excellent lenovo warranty and follow up customer support making it such an awesome device to own.
