Horrifying Experience with Windows 8

Was very sad, with the delivery also by flipkart, the free lenovo backpack promised never turned up, the cash on delivery option was very badly utilized. apart from that, the laptop in itself. No mword, excel, powerpoint or anything. have to download trial, also the headphones are a massive problem, the laptop refuses to accept the, no help provided by lenovo. above all, windows 8 is horrifying, please please do not buy a windows 8, please.

Good Product under this Price Range

I ordered this laptop after much research on Dell, HP, Sony, Samsung, Acer, Asus etc. My first choice was Dell as I have used their laptops for years without any issue. However, found Lenovo to be a good choice & seems I did it right. I have been using it since two months. PROS: Excellent Battery Back Up ( about 4 hours). Excellent Speakers with Loud & good sound quality. Good Display Sleek & superb looks Full Numeric Keyboard with num pad keys. Dell, Sony, HP do not provide this even @30K price. ( A deal breaker for me) Light weight (compared to Dell Inspiron) Lowest cost for provided configuration (among Dell, Sony, HP) Overall good performance (connectivity, camera, keyboard, data transfer speeds etc) Genuine Win 8 Have not tried gaming so cant say about that. CONS: Response is not much smooth sometimes. (May be due to WIN 8 as I am addicted to Win 7 till now & dont find Win 8 that good) Lenovo Touch Pads are not good at least for me as I work on their ThinkPad also. Dell Inspiron's touch pad is much better. Further, unknown & unwanted commands are activated through Touch pad gestures, thanks to Window 8. But having external mouse is the easy solution. No Mic In Jack (Mentioned wrong in the specs on flipkart). But thats not much to consider as internal Mic is always there. No HDMI Port (as mentioned already in specs) Overall 4 Stars- Deducted 1 due to occasional lags, touch pad & Win 8 experience.
