The laptop is genuine, not used before by anyone. All items given as promised with laptop. Been using it nearly a year now. No issues arisen yet.
Expected faster processing. I find it hanging sometimes all of a sudden sometimes when running heavy applications for software development. Overall it is fine for normal day to day use.
This replaced my eight year old R52 which is still good for general browsing. I have been using Thinkpads since 2002 and no other. I can't think of using another brand of type. This is better even compared to the new L440 Pros: - 1 USB 3.0 port (able to copy system image approx 51 GB in 31 minutes) - Front end camera - Quite lighter than the outgoing model L420 (which I used for couple of years) Cons They have changed the keyboard, the feel is same, but I like the old type. They have moved the keys "Home, End, Insert, Delete" this is an irritation. The device drivers are still being developed for Win 8.1
Good product. However, Thinkpad degraded the quality of laptop case. Electronic configuration wise it is a good laptop.
My first laptop was a ThinkPad SL500 and I've since been a fan of the ThinkPad series. I was looking for a replacement laptop primarily development work and chanced upon this. Although I couldn't find too many helpful reviews online but the hardware specs and three years warranty cover made it an easy choice. I received the laptop a few days back and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall build quality and relatively light weight. I am able to get about 4 hours of battery backup on a single charge. I feel that it's great value for money considering the legendary durability and good customer support for ThinkPads. note: The image on the website isn't accurate.
