...you will be paying for the brand. Like Apple, even if the hardware is not that good, you still have to pay a high price because you're paying for the brand value. Overall, its a decent laptop for gaming, 8 GB RAM is good for now, you can run almost all games on full graphics, but it is sure to get outdated within a year, if you are not planning to change laptops in the next year, go for one with 16 GB memory, and a better graphic card (this one is also pretty good btw). I am still giving it five stars, because its the poor man's Alienware. But if you're spending that much, go for Alienware, or a laptop with lower brand value and better specs.
I love this MSI gaming laptop, its killer lan, Dynaudio speaker, Steelseries keyboard just amazing during play games.
Msi wins in all respect. Msi is portable along with better graphics. Graphics: Msi features gtx 860m(gddr5) over alienware featuring gtx 765m(gddr5); both with 2GB graphics. HDD: Msi has 1TB(7200 rpm) over alienware 750 GB(7200rpm) portability: Alienware is a little less than twice the weight of msi and msi is thinner too. Alienware may have a little better build quality and power management over msi. Otherwise more games with highest graphic setting can be run over msi. Alienware's graphic processing is just enough to run games decently but msi will handle those with ease. Even the processor cache is 6MB in both. As far as the sound is concerned alienware wins there. Those who don't have to worry about budget much should go for alienware 14(one which costs150k) not the one costing 127k. Low portability of alienware even for higher price isn't justifiable in any way. Another option which maybe considered is razorblade. Spending on razorblade laptops is a better deal than spending on alienware. With thin, sleek and sexy design razorblade win over msi and alienware both. Msi ge60 2pf apache pro is the laptop with highest value for money with Dell insp. 7537, Lenovo y50 and Hp lagging behind msi. Dell's sale is gonna suffer as msi becomes popular in India. I'm totally satisfied, rather surprised to see msi available at 97k. (literally the best gaming laptop under 1lac)
even though it lacks some specs, z50 has 4 gb graphic card and most of given specs above..................................................................................
