The laptop is really solid but if u wait for 2 more months new laptops are released which are equipped with GTX 970m 3GB/6GB graphic cards which are less cost and have high performance. So, don't buy now. Its better to wait rather than wasting money for downgraded GPU's.
MSI is a brand to reckon with in comparison to its gaming counterparts from ASUS and ALIENWARE. I've been using this "Sleekbook" for more than a week and the performance is rewarding. My only major gripe is with the heat output, though you should expect & accept this when using such a hardware! The twin fans inside does a commendable job of dissipating the heat without any significant lag in performance while playing AAA games but the fans does emit a clear whizzing sound that can be heard from a distance. nnIn-spite of the bloat-ware that comes preloaded, the boot up & shut down time is less than 10 seconds. Everything is pre-installed on the SSD. nnGTX 870M is one serious performer and that alone is the reason why the temperature in the top middle part of the base can reach upto 70 deg [AnandTech]. A cooling pad is recommended as keeping it on your lap whilst playing without one is a BIG NO.nnThe SteelSeries keyboard looks great. It doesn't feel cluttered and the RGB LEDs beneath can be customized to your liking. nnBenchmarks:n1. Phenomenal gaming performance for a laptop this sleek.n3. SteelSeries keyboard.n4. SSD coupled with GTX 870M [Kepler make]. n5. 15.6" HD Screen.nnCons:n1. Heat dissipation. So an added requirement of a cooling pad.n2. Track pad isn't smooth. n3. Battery life under intense gaming is very poor and not advisable as that leads to throttled performance. :(nnThe power adapter is 150W instead of the 65W as mentioned in the specs. nnAs always, Flipkart delivered it right on time and with great packaging.
Here's what I think: nn1. Packaging: 5/5nn Nice and safe packaging which is a must. Comes in a beautiful looking box. nSurprise. Surprise. There's a laptop sleeve in the box which is not mentioned in the spec sheet.nn2. Notebook: 4.5/5nn After lot of investigation and considering all the aspect I could think of, I finally decided to compromise on price than on any component of the machine. Still, like any other laptop this one isn't perfect.n Battery life is below average (2-3 hrs on normal usage) and laptop size is bigger than any usual 15.6" laptop. But I can live with that as I have no plans to carry it every time I go outside... For that I already have a 14" laptop. Reason I bought this beast is to do things I was missing on my 4 yr old Dell Studio laptop. Yes, one of those is obviously- Serious Gaming. nn There's no doubt that this flameless Dragon can fly as high as you want it to. Translation: High performance and low CPU/GPU temperatures. Although, top left does tend to become hot while gaming because that's where the GPU is, but it should not bother anyone. nn Great News: It will soon be equipped with GTX970M which is Maxwell (yes it makes a lot of difference)... So I would suggest to wait for a month or two as it is already launched in US with this configuration. It's surely an upgrade worth waiting for. n n I ran MOH 2010 62fps, Dirt 3 (didnt checked fps), Battlefield 3 (100+fps), Operation flashpoint 30fps... Low fps on this is because when you run any game on battery, Nvidia's battery boost gets enabled which is set to 30fps as default... You can change the fps limit to higher or disable it completely...n Sorry couldn't test the latest games as those games find my 14" laptop old fashioned... So never thought of even trying... Surely they'll be having no problem getting along with this one... So soon my purse will feel even lighter... nn A quick look on the YeaYea's and NoNo's:n n Pros: Light-weight | Sleek | Good looking | Steel series keyboard (with backlit customization) | Undoubtedly one of the best screens I have ever used | Pre-installed software for optimizing performance | Rest is in the spec sheet to get yourself flatteredn n Cons: Below average 2-3 hours of battery life (around 45-60 mins while gaming which is usual) | Touchpad doesn't respond to clicks sometimes which is a setback (might be isolated to the one I got but I have seen reviews complaining the same on other portals) | Bigger than any 15.6" laptops | Bulky charging adapter (Could have been sleek and smaller) | Costs more in India ($1600 on newegg)nn n Conclusion: All in all, I am regretting very little than I thought I will be after making such a big investment with tiny little compromises. nn Overall: 4.5/5
The steelseries KB is quite good when I play batlefield 4, especially it come with SSE that it very convenience for when chat with my friends every day. The performance also excellent no doubt about that, I hardly can see any other brands has same product like this one. expecially its weight is only less than 2kg, yo ucan image that how convenience when you on the go :-).
The Ghost Pro is absolutely amazing, I've been looking for a laptop for the past 3 months, and I finally decided on this one, and I haven't regretted it since. It runs everything so smoothly, it's slick and VERY light considering its size, it's perfect for me because I always game at my friends place, so it's easy to transport and SUPER powerful. Go for it guys, don't think twice.
