Verdict

The OnePlus 5T is an amazing smartphone and ticks all the correct boxes. All of the features, including the high-performance processor, an amazing pair of cameras, massive internal storage and a sharp display, work in tandem to make this smartphone work in a beast mode each time you use it. Almost every section of the smartphone is lag-free and delivers superior quality of everything. Moreover, a device with such calibre is seldom seen at that price tag.

The flagship killer
Display and Configuration

The OnePlus 5T comes with a 6.01-inch Optic AMOLED display which offers a very sharp and crystal clear viewing experience. It flaunts a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels, which results from a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch, proves the quality of the display without a hint of doubt. To protect the screen from scratches and minor knocks, the flagship smartphone is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass v5. The smartphone is powered by the pair of quad-core processors with clock speeds of 2.45GHz and 1.9 GHz to deliver strong performance together. This set of eight cores are placed on the latest chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 and is assisted by the services of a massive 8GB RAM. Together, this setup is built to give you multitasking and high-end gaming experience like never before. The addition of an Adreno 540 graphics unit makes sure that lagging is never a part of your gaming experience.

Camera and Storage

Following the latest trend, the OnePlus 5T offers a dual primary camera setup, one 16MP lens and the other 20MP lens. The inclusion of features and sensors like Phase Detection autofocus, dual LED Flash, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), etc., enables the users to click super quality images with a high resolution of 4,616 x 3,464. The 16MP front facing camera is a delight for all of the selfie lovers as it comes with the benefits of a screen flash which enables low light selfies without burning the pictures with high flash and is also accompanied by the Exmor sensor. The flagship smartphone lets you store up a large amount of data as it is equipped with a humongous 128GB internal storage. However, it cannot be expanded any further.

Battery and Connectivity

The OnePlus 5T is backed by a good 3,300mAh Li-ion battery, which is good enough to keep you engaged with your phone for a very time. Moreover, the presence of dash charge enables quick charging. At the sharing and connectivity front, the included features are dual 4G SIM slots with voice over LTE, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, advanced Bluetooth  v5.0, A-GPS with Glonass, NFC and a USB type-C slot. The fingerprint scanner is added at the rear end, just to make your phone secure from unnecessary handling.

OnePlus 5T review: the best Android phone you can buy under Rs 40,000

Here s our review of the latest from OnePlus, the 5T

Nov 20 2017 By Ershad Kaleebullah
PROS
  • Great 18:9 display
  • Good camera performance
  • Face unlock is blazing fast
  • Very good pricing
CONS
  • No Android Oreo at launch
  • Loudspeaker distorts at maximum volume
  • Battery life could've been better

OnePlus is back for one more innings in 2017: the OnePlus 5T is here after umpteen rumours and leaks that preceded its launch. Although, unlike last years OnePlus 3T(review) which was a mere spec bump over the OnePlus 3(review) the OnePlus 5T is a visual overhaul, one that makes it a worthy contender for the best flagship Android smartphone of 2017. Why do we think so? Well, heres the thing: weve always known that OnePlus had lofty ambitions (and

The best android phone in this price range.
25 Dec 2017 By Niraj Gahukar On amazon.in

This device is insanely fast. I'm amazed by its performance. Here are some highlights of the device from me.- It is insanely fast. Couldn't resist myself from mentioning this again.- It loads everything very quickly. Thanks to 6GB of RAM.- Even after a heavy usage, it does not heat up. It gets little warmer but not much.- Battery life is super. This is very interesting bcz it has 3300 MAh battery and 18:9 display but it is still lasting for a complete day even with the heavy usage.- The dash charger. It is the fastest. Charges phone upto 60% in 30 mins and 100% in just 1hr.- The camera quality is decent. The front camera is nice. The rear camera quality could have been better.- It has beautiful 2:1 ratio AMOLED screen.- Oxygen OS is somewhat like stock android. And you can also customize your phone a lot.- Face unlocking. What can I say about this feature. It is blazing fast. Unlocks my phone within a blink of an eye and works well even in low light.*Edit: I tried this in complete dark with 50% screen brightness level, it worked and it was fast. Again the important thing, there is a option of Face Unlock Assistive Lightning which light up the screen if camera does not recognise your face. So no need to set the brightness for unlocking.- The fingerprint sensor is also very fast, same as the face unlock feature I would say.- You get a tpu case. But here are some things I don't like about this device.- the back is very slippery. But they have provided a back case.- It has a mono speaker. Don't get me wrong, the output of the speaker is good but when you set the volume to full the sound feels like noisy.Other than this, Oneplus 5t is a great smartphone in this price segment considering its features.Hit the thumbs up if you find this helpful.

For a user like me who jumped from j7 prime to 5T
11 Feb 2018 By Surdeep Devanathan On amazon.in

Service :Ever heard of fastest service? Yes! That's Amazon. I had to pay Rs. 150 extra for immediate delivery... And it reached me before 11 hours...About the phone :This phone's a killer...For a user like me who jumped from j7 prime to 5T, this phone has a lot of features that are surely gonna surpass your expectations...Camera :Best at low light photography...I guess they have to work on fixing the stability issues on 4k video mode.Dual camera takes a lil while to focus the image...Fastest unlock with face lock even in the darkest room, it actually utilises the screen's brightness to capture.Battery life and charging are excellent!

To cast your phone screen on your TV you need to have Chromecast.
Follow the steps to successfully cast your screen-

    Before you begin casting

    1. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network.
    2. The mobile device, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
    3. You must be running the latest version of the Chromecast-enabled app. You can always double check that you are on the latest version by visiting the Google Play Store.

Cast from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV

    1. Make sure that the phone you are using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in.
    2. Open a Chromecast-enabled app.
    3. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension.

Note: The Cast button isn't located in the same place on all Chromecast-enabled apps.

    4. Tap the device you'd like to cast to.

    5. When you're connected, the Cast button will turn color, letting you know you're connected.
    6. Select the app like Youtube, Browser, Google Music etc and look for the Cast icon as shown in the image below.

You can now cast videos, movies and TV shows directly to your TV.
To stop casting, tap the Cast button and then Disconnect.
You can also watch this step-by-step guide to do the same
