Panasonic as a brand is often overlooked when it comes to budget shooters. Where i live panasonic cameras are simply not available. It is a world of Nikon,Canon,Sony and that's that. I own two cameras. A nikon DSLR and a canon point and shoot. Recently i gave the canon powershot to my sister and was in the market to buy a cheap and pocket-able, yet with commendable image quality shooter coz i cant carry the SLR everywhere. When it comes to that, Canon wins budget crown, usually. I spent a day in net and another in shopping malls and found this panasonic to be quite a charmer. Its wide angle lens allows you to shoot closer, It has Optical image stabilization. Good optics, Better sharpness and low noise than competition, Images look punchier than canon by default and very much pocketable. The only thinner camera around here is olympus vg150 and it's image quality is not at all exciting. So if you are looking for a camera around 5k, believe me this poorly reviewed, relatively unknown lumix is the one you are looking for...

Nice product for the price. Battery needs to be charged outside of the camera and each time you remove the battery and put again, the camera asks for date setting. If you want a tiny pocket camera at minimal cost, this is for you, Image quality decent.

IT IS ONE OF THE BEST PRODUCT IN THIS PRICE RANGE. NO other camera with all these features are available within this range. Moreover it is provided with mica lens, panoroma shoot and many more shooting modes. So just don't spend any time thinking on it, just go for it.

i bought this camera last month and i am very happy.it has 14.1 Effective Pixels,good zoom,internet storage of 70MB and very good battery.over all good deal.
