User Reviews for Panasonic VIERA TH-49E400D 49 inch (124 cm) LED Full HD TV

I had read several reviews in the past that buyers had received broken or damaged products and Flipkart denied taking ownership of the products. I used to think they were fake reviews but something that happened with me this time makes me believe all those reviews were genuine. I bought two Panasonic LEDs - 49 inches each, for my new office. I bought those on 19th August but since the office got ready yesterday, we unpacked both today and found screen of one of the TVs broken all over. I called up the Flipkart customer care and to my surprise they referred me to the vendor stating that since it's post 10 days, I will have to call Panasonic Customer Care to log a complaint. It is beyond my understanding why should I be doing that when I purchased the unit from Flipkart. The reason he gave me was that it's a year's warranty we have from Panasonic. Insane! I very well know that they won't help me with it at all. They would only help me if in case the unit doesn't work after installation or it's a DOA case. I will write to the highest level in Flipkart to escalate it in case my issue doesn't get resolved or they deny replacing the unit.

I got broken LED for first time. Than it was replaced by flipkart. LED is good but not best. It is not as clear as samsung and sony but in this range it is nice LED.sound is audible. Display is below expectation.

Picture quality is below par, pixellation quite visible in SD content and also to some extent in HD content, at a viewing distance of 10 feet. Internal image engines are useless and only make the picture worse, best image quality on turning them off. We saw this TV in a Croma outlet and compared its image to that of others on display. However, Croma was displaying with 4k feed and not much of image difference was discernable with other brands like LG and Samsung. Given a choice I would have rather gone for a Sanyo, since I was on a budget, instead of going for Panasonic and spending 10k more. Ideally in 49 inch or bigger sizes, one should consider 4K TVs.

I got delivery one day before only... best picture quality.. but wall mount stand is not a proper size
