Not good

Don't show 8% off. It is launched with 28990 and you are still selling with 28990 price tag. Don't fool people flipkart.

Nice phone and complete new software make this phone amazing. Screen size is not big and can be used with one hand. All flagship feature are part of this

My First Samsung Phone

Never cared for Samsung mobiles, their plastic handset designs and their cartoonish TouchWiz interface but from Note 5 onwards I have really liked Samsung's mid-range to flagship phones. Now coming to A5 2017, following are my observations. - The handset design is sleek, ergonomic, feels premium and the price drop makes A5 a sensible mid-range option. I do prefer A5 2016 design over the current design. - AMOLED display outputs nice punchy colors. I really enjoy reading eBooks on this, I have set the background to black and the text just pops up, it feels like the phone is switched off and the text is just a sticker on the screen, it looks that real. White backgrounds are on the softer side and have a greyish white feel. - Samsung's user interface is polished and in my opinion in the same league as Sony and HTC. The UI is responsive and didn't notice any lags. - Battery backup is good. From 100% - 5%, I got 30 Hours and 40 Minutes total usage time and a Screen On Time of 11 Hours. This mostly consisted of indoor use on wifi and watching movies, no gaming. Battery charging time is good, Normal Charging - 5% in 5 Minutes, with Fast Charging enabled - 8% in 5 Minutes. - Even with constant usage never noticed any heating on the phone. Even with fast charging the phone doesn't heat up. - Microsoft apps and Opera Max is pre-installed which can be disabled but not uninstalled. - Received Nougat update which brings some user interface improvements, and better support for multi window feature. - After Nougat update, around 10GB is used by the system and 21GB is available to the user. The A5 comes with 3GB RAM and in normal usage about 650MB is free and after using "Optimize" I get 1.1GB Free. - From what I have read, Samsung supports 2 Operating System upgrades for most of it's phones, so A5 came with Marshmallow but now received Nougat update, so it will definitely get Oreo update too but probably won't get any OS upgrades after that. - The only major gripe I have with this phone is that it doesn't have a guest mode, the only option is to use Samsung's "S Secure" to lock/hide apps but the problem is the Settings area can not be locked via S Secure and ideally I would have preferred not to allow others to mess with the phone's settings. Overall, very happy with this purchase and can highly recommend this to others.
