Samsung is not a very popular brand when it comes to laptops, so I was a bit wary before buying this one. But clearly, Samsung has the best price for a given set of features, probably because they manufacture a lot of components themselves (HDD, mobo etc.). So I went ahead and bought this one from my savings of many months (I'm just a student at present). Bought this from another site actually at a lower price. So, here is my experience-nnIt was a bit slow for my liking initially, I was expecting much faster speed from a 3rd Gen i5, previously having used only the 1st Gen Core 2 Duo. The Windows 8 initial setup took its time, applied many upgrades after connecting to the internet for the first time which again takes quite some time. But after having set up everything and using it regularly for about 1 week, I can say that it seems to be working quite fast. People new to Windows 8 like me will take some time to learn it but once you do, it's actually quite nice. The User Manual pdf is very helpful. I partitioned the single 900 GB drive into two, which is always recommended.The graphic card does it's job, I've played NFS: Most Wanted & SniperElite at high settings with no issues.nnToo long review? Ok here are just my pros and cons-nnPros:n1. Good specs to price ratio.n2. Good battery life, gives more that 5 hrs of video playback for men3. 1 TB hard drive is too good. Never run short of space now.n4. Matte screen controls reflection to a large extent.n5. Trackpad gestures work well with Windows 8nnCons:n1. No USB 3.0 port. Three USB ports are present but they only support the speeds of USB 2.0n2. Windows 8 can be buggy sometimes.n3. No multimedia buttons. Pressing two keys to adjust volume/brightness is not convenient.n4. No backlight in keyboard, can't work in the dark.nnOverall it's a good budget laptop. It manages to keep the price low by omitting certain minor luxuries but that hardly makes any difference.
I have purchased this product outside the flipkart. the product is excellant. i have seen many laptops in my hostel. after comparing with hp,acer,tosibha, lenova, i feel samsung laptop is better than others with this model i am completely satisfied for my designing works, and to watch movies as well as playing games to compromise multimedia buttons please unlock by pressing fn lock button and u can use multimedia buttons without using the two keys no usb 3.0, not required for me. heating is lesser than other laptops. battery is good, but dell is better. the display is best. it is lighter than most of other laptops except few laptops in dell. the laptop have a anti-fingerprint finishing at the back of the screen overall the performance is excellant.
i buyed this laptop n i can say i am fully satisfied with this product .its is fast ,light weight,hd display ,nice sound in speakers with Alive sound surround . games work on so good with 1 GB graphic card .must buy this laptop guys
