Excellent Ultrabook for Windows

First off, Flipkart delivered this in 2 working days. I am impressed. The ultrabook meets all its promises. Even though it does not have an SSD for main storage, it uses a 16GB SSD for caching your HDD and for quick hibernation and suspend-to-disk. Do not get this ultrabook if you plan to use Linux on it, however.

Affordable lightweight latop

After doing an extensive search to find a good lightweight laptop for a decent price, I decided to go ahead with this. Have been using it for 3 days now. Pros- -Weighs just 1.4kgs which is really less compared to laptops priced @ 55k+ -Uses Win7 HP. Which is much better than its successor, Win8 -i5 processor, which is good as low priced ultrabooks use Intel Atom -Has a really good build quality (seems like aluminium) Cons- -Battery backup is quite less, hardly comes for 3 hours - Screen ain't as amazing as claimed but good -Sound quality isn't great I recommend this laptop to those who want an ultrabook and are not ready to shell out more than 55k. For the features it provides for the price, its a really good bargain.

Good almostultrabook. Mediocre battery life

I have been using this laptop for nearly 6 months now. The laptop is well constructed. Despite its thin profile and low weight, the parts don't feel flimsy. The best part is the fact that the screen is matte-finished. Other consumer laptops tend to have glossy screens which make it difficult to use for extended periods of time. The promised battery life is 6.5 hours. Safe to say, the actual battery life I have experienced is closer to 3 hours, with regular office use. I have found that the hibernate / sleep feature is especially bad and sucks up too much power. As against this, my 2 year old 13" Dell Latitude has nearly double the battery life even now. The keyboard is a bit odd - there are no separate page up / down / home keys. This can get annoying for keyboard shortcuts which use them (eg: tab-switching in browsers, excel etc). The key travel is not great, but manageable. One grouse is that the keyboard is not backlit. The laptop has a 16GB ExpressCache, which is basically a small SSD used for caching. In actual usage, I didn't notice any real speed up by turning on ExpressCache whether in normal usage or during boot up.
