I bought this 3 months ago and it was giving issues right from the beginning. Samsung has repaired it 3 times but the issues still persist. They are now ignoring my complaints. Even Samsung's senior management has a policy of not responding at all to customer complaints. nnI'm disgusted with Samsung service. I've escalated this matter to Samsung's Head of Customer Satisfaction - Rajiv Ganju, but even after repeated emails, there has not been any effort to replace/refund for this defective laptop.nnSamsung just kept transferring the matter from one department to another to kill time. They don't care at all about customer complaints. Even senior management at Samsung has a policy of just ignoring all customer complaints. They probably know right from the beginning that this product is defective. nnAfter spending such a huge amount, all I have is a defective laptop. I'm planning to approach Consumer Court as I won't allow myself to be cheated in this manner. I strongly advise - DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP.

Hi, Recently I bought this Laptop form Market, I was interested to buy from Flipkart but without touch / feel the product, I am not interested to take in blind. Thus I visited retailer and got bit higher price compare to flipkart and purchased this model. 1st day I found that I am getting electric shock buy touching the body, yes it was shock due to earth problem in my house, but due to metal body of this laptop. so Plastic body is better than metal body... Earthing is fixed and now no electric shock. but the baggiest problem in this laptop is display problem, the colours not clear even my old netbook (NP10) of samsung provides better colours than this one. It have dedicated AMD Radeon VGA Card but I though it is not working or driver not installed, so I downloaded fresh driver from samsung web-site and installed, again problem remain same. Mean while samsung service guy attend the call and he also agreed about the display problem. While checking at Control PanelAppearance and PersonalizationDisplayScreen Resolution >> advanced settings >> it shows Intel Graphic instead of AMD. I am unable to understand why Intel here.. I am sure about this model : it is NP530U4B and its price too. further i searched and found that Samsung Series 7 having the same type of problem it repeated in Samsung Series 5 too. Samsung offers 20 days return / money back guaranty, so I am planning to return this laptop. This is my personal experience with particular pcs not for all the same model. so take my review for reference only.

I am using this product since one month. My purpose of buying this laptop was twofold:n1. Should have atleast 6 hours battery backup. n2. Should be on the go with high end specifications.n3. Should have DVD drive.nnI did spend lot of time in my research and found that only ultrabooks are capable of meeting above two points. And this is the only ultrabook which offered point 3 under this price tag.nnI am using this Ultrabook with all default settings ie I did not change any of the settings which came by default. Since I am using this laptop since last one month, I can see that after full charge the battery lasts less than 3 hours which is not acceptable for an ultrabook and I don't see movies or listen to music, do not use wifi or do any CPU intense tasks when on battery. nnAlso I feel that display is very poor even though it has great dedicated graphics processors [radeon and intel]. Perhaps I might be wrong because I never fine tuned anything, just rely on default settings which were ON by default. I noticed that whenever we play movie the system turns on the movie color and turns off when movie is closed.

As an independent reader to both comments, both previous reviewers have mentioned their respective perspectives.nHowever, it is important to note that each review is equally important. nFirst, this product is worth over half a lac and it is not like buying vegetables from market that you can dismiss some flaws casually. nSecond, the user has candidly written his genuine feedback and the last line clearly says his intentions.nThird, very often you'd like to use this laptop outside your home where electrical connections may be faulty. I would hate to be using it in a client location or a hotel to experience electric shock! Would you be in a position to tell your client to get his wiring fixed so you could use your laptop without shocks! Strange, the second reviewer is giving such blatant advice and dismissing a valid point!nFourth, it may be a good idea to see and feel this product in a retail store and check and understand the display related configurations before buying it online. nNowhere am I suggesting anything negative or positive. But it would be wise to give every feedback (good or bad) its due respect, lest the purpose of having such feedback/review system stands defeated. Isn't it?nFinally, would the other users please also chip in with their feedback. This product is on my shortlist for a possible buy in very near future. nThanks in anticipation.

I would like to mention to the previous reviewer that graphics card is not an issue its a feature to save battery - you can manually choose which graphics card to run and when... Its unfortunate that most of the tech support guys in Samsung really suck they don't really know much stuff to explain to the customers. nnOtherwise this is an ultrabook class laptop and its the cheapest of the all the ultrabook's available and none of the ultrabooks come with a optical drive or graphics card - granted this is slightly thicker than normal ultrabooks but its a huge advantage... nnMetal finish is arguably better than plastic always and just because the person who uses does not have proper earth line does not mean its a problem. FIX YOUR EARTH CONNECTION WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR GENERAL SAFTY... nnThis is simply the best value for money laptop... Don't have to listen to anyone can close your eyes and buy it...
