Display and Design
The Toshiba Satellite C50-AP0011 arrives with an HD LED backlit display that features Clear SuperView technology thereby adjusting the brightness and pixels to provide a better visual experience. The 15.6-inch panel has a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels as it’s extremely common in budget friendly notebooks.
It is encased in a premium glossy black body with a thickness of 33.3 mm which certainly poses problems if you wish to carry it over long distances.
CPU and OS
At the heart of the laptop, we have the 3rd generation Intel Pentium Dual Core processor clocked at a speed of 2.4GHz and paired with the Intel 7 Series chipset. The CPU is supported by a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM which can however be increased up to 16GB if you expect the laptop to perform better. It relies on the Intel HD GPU to handle the graphics bit. The absence of any kind of user friendly OS is nothing surprising considering the gadgets’ price.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The Toshiba Satellite C50-AP0011 has a webcam to support simple video calls and provides 500GB of storage space through the SATA hard disk. The laptop also has a 8X DVD SuperMulti Drive for running and creating disks. The stereo speakers based on Toshiba Audio enhancement do not disappoint in terms of good quality sound. Being a low end notebook, it has a simple touchpad and keyboard as input devices.
