I have purchased this laptop in Aug, 2013. Considering the brand Toshiba and offering at this cheap rates I thought of going for C850-I0015. The day this lappy has come it is lying useless. After installing Win 7, it ran dammn slow. 15 mins to boot. (WTF). 5-10 min to open any application, eventhough only MS-Office 2010 was installed. Checked with RAM and everything. Thought that might be 2GB were not enough. So was going to upgrade the RAM but then the Dealer in our city Baroda told that this is the worst series by Toshiba. In a race to increase market share this company has compromised on quality of the parts used. He told me not to upgrade the RAM but instead go to service centre and get the Hard Disk change. This happens in all the laptops of this series. So i went to service centre. And GOD I got the surprise of my life !! You cant just walk in a Toshiba Sevice Centre. You have to 1st register your complain on their toll free no (which will again take atleast 25 mins to pick up) and then they will forward to any of their service centtres in ur city in a day or two. then the service centre guys will call you and ask for another week as they are loaded with the same complain and they dont have the hard drives in stock to replace them. SUCKERS !! I have registered the complaint on 17th Sep,2013 and still waiting for my HARD DRIVE to come (from where ??? do they import the hard drive or what ??? ). The service centre are also in pathetic condition and totally unprofessional. I think Toshiba as a Brand has now compromised on quality. Mr. Sachin Tendulkar please don't continue to be a Brand Ambassador of such a cheap brand.
I purchased this laptop on 11 Sept 2013.....am very happy with my choice.....is working as expected...no lagging in OS,,,,no hardware problem.....no heating problem...for ur routine work,,it gives battery backup of over 4 hrs.... cons: Poor built quality,,,doesnt feel strong when u hold it... Speakers are not of bass kindof... Webcam is not that great( u cant expect much for this price ).

Writing this review after more than 3 yr of use. nJust to say still working fine, no issue at all.
Delivery by Flipkart was prompt as usual. But the product is unfortunately disappointing. I installed Windows 7 and found the OS runs very slow. Just like the previous reviewer, I too thought it must be due to the 2GB RAM, but when I read his experience now, I realized it is just poor hardware :( I see they have reduced the price by approx 2000 INR, but still I would say purchase should be avoided. There is a similar confign model from Samsung also available on this site, and the reviews for that one are pretty good. So I would say, the choice should be easy. EDIT - I got my laptop replaced within the first 30 days, as it dies compeltely. The new laptop is working perfectly OK for the last 10 months, and I am totally satisfied.
