Features and specifications

The Blaupunkt SonicQ series features QLED 4K panels across all three sizes. The TVs support 1.1 billion colours, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, promising richer contrast, deeper blacks and more accurate colour reproduction. At 550 nits peak brightness, the panel is relatively bright for this segment and should hold up well in well-lit rooms.

The highlight here is 120Hz MEMC (HSR) paired with VRR and ALLM, which should improve motion clarity during fast-paced gaming and live sports. As with most TVs in this range, this isn’t a native 120Hz panel, but MEMC does help reduce blur and create smoother motion compared to standard 60Hz TVs. On the audio front, Blaupunkt offers 80W stereo box speakers, tuned with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus. This could be a plus for buyers who want room-filling sound without purchasing a separate soundbar.

The SonicQ series runs on Google TV 5.0, offering access to 10,000+ apps and 500,000+ movies and shows, including Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5 and Apple TV. You also get built-in Chromecast, Google Assistant voice input, and a remote with hotkeys for quick access.

The TVs are powered by 2GB RAM + 32GB storage, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and include multiple HDMI and USB ports for connecting gaming consoles, soundbars and streaming devices. Furthermore, all variants ship with a bezel-less Airslim design paired with an alloy stand, giving the TV a more polished look in a living room setup.

With these specs, Blaupunkt is clearly competing with other value QLED offerings in the Indian market. What’s interesting is that Kodak, Thomson and Blaupunkt TVs in India are all manufactured and managed by SPPL, which is why buyers often see similar price brackets, panel specs and feature sets across these brands.

Interestingly, Kodak also recently launched its MotionX QLED lineup with the same screen sizes, similar specs like QLED 4K panels, 120Hz MEMC (HSR) and 550-nit displays, and almost identical pricing. This makes the SonicQ series feel like a sister lineup positioned with minor aesthetic and tuning differences, giving buyers more options in the same price bracket.
