EvoFox strengthens its gaming portfolio with One X gamepad

EvoFox has launched the One X Tri-Mode Wireless Gamepad in India, positioning it as a feature-packed controller aimed at gamers who want pro-level control without stepping into premium pricing. Priced at Rs 2,999, the One X enters the crowded mid-range controller segment with features that are usually reserved for far more expensive gamepads.

At the core of the EvoFox One X is a focus on real-time control during gameplay. Instead of relying on menus or in-game settings, EvoFox has built dedicated physical buttons that allow players to activate advanced features instantly, without breaking immersion.

One of the headline additions is 6-axis gyro aiming, which lets players fine-tune their aim by subtly tilting the controller. A dedicated NL button enables gyro control on the fly, making it particularly useful for shooting and action-heavy titles where precision matters. Complementing this is On-the-Fly Precision Mode, activated by holding the NR button, which temporarily lowers right-stick sensitivity for tasks like sniper shots or precise camera movement, before instantly reverting.

The controller also includes four programmable rear macro buttons (ML, MR, NL, NR). These can be mapped to single actions or complex macros of up to 20 inputs over 60 seconds, allowing players to trigger combos, quick swaps or abilities without taking their thumbs off the sticks.

Connectivity is another strong point. The One X supports tri-mode operation, allowing seamless switching between 2.4GHz low-latency wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C wired mode via dedicated buttons. This makes it usable across PCs, consoles and mobile devices without repeated pairing hassles.

On the hardware side, EvoFox has opted for Hall-effect joysticks and triggers, which use magnetic sensors instead of mechanical contacts. This design helps eliminate joystick drift and reduces wear over time, a known issue even on high-end global controllers. The result should be a more consistent performance during long-term use.

Designed for extended gaming sessions, the controller weighs 225g and features textured grips for comfort. Additional features include dual vibration motors, turbo mode, RGB lighting, and a 1000Hz polling rate. Which basically means that it reports its position or inputs to your PC every 1 millisecond. Furthermore, powering it all is an 800mAh battery, rated for up to 20 hours of gameplay, along with auto-sleep for better efficiency.

Customisation is handled through EvoFox’s Keylinker app, available on Android and iOS. The app allows users to remap buttons, create macros, adjust vibration intensity, and fine-tune RGB lighting, giving players control over how the controller behaves across different games and platforms. Tech jargon aside, for the time being, these are just claims from the brand. We will comment more on the functionality and real-world usage once we receive it for review, to better understand the device.

At Rs 2,999, the EvoFox One X competes directly with mainstream wireless controllers but clearly aims to stand out by offering enthusiast-grade features at a mass-market price. For gamers looking to step up from entry-level gamepads, especially those who value precision aiming and deep customisation, the One X does seem to make a strong case in the mid-range segment.
