Features and specifications

The MotionX features a QLED 4K panel across the lineup. It supports 120Hz MEMC (HSR), along with VRR and ALLM, all of which means that users should be able to enjoy flawless, smoother motion during gaming and live sports. One thing to keep in mind is that, although this isn’t a native 120Hz panel, it should offer noticeably cleaner motion handling compared to standard 60Hz TVs. The TV also features a 550-nit panel, which is noteworthy given that only a handful of brands offer this level of brightness in this price bracket.

More on the display, the MotionX QLED panels support HDR10+ paired with Dolby Vision. For context, it means you should be able to enjoy more vivid colours, a more accurate display, a brighter panel and deeper blacks. This should also allow for a noticeable upgrade in the picture quality for supported content.

On the audio front, Kodak is offering 4 speakers 70W stereo box setup supported with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital. Meaning, the buyer can expect richer sound without spending extra on an external speaker.

The Kodak MotionX lineup boasts Google TV 5.0, with which you’ll get access to 10000+ apps and 500000+ movies and shows. It also supports built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay. The voice-enabled remote feature has dedicated shortcut keys for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. On the connectivity and hardware side, it is powered by the MideaTek MT9602 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a dual-band WiFi along with Bluetooth 5.0 support. Port-wise, you are getting three HDMI and two USB at the side of the TV.

That said, all these features do put Kodak in competition with other value QLED offerings from brands like Hisense, TCL, Blaupunkt and Thomson. But also considering the fact that Kodak, Thompson and Blaupunkt TV in India are all manufacturers and managed by the same parent company, SPPL. User often finds similar price brackets, similar specs and competing sizes across these three brands.

So if you’re exploring options in the same segment, you can check out the QLED and MiniLED offerings from Thompson as well as Blaupunkt, which come in competitive pricing along with similar specifications. You can also consider this Thomson Masterclass QD-MiniLED TV, which costs Rs 20K more but gives you a lot better display and audio setup. Meanwhile, there are also brands like Acerpure targeting gamers who are looking for TVs on a budget. Other competing options near this price range include Hisense E7K Pro / U7K QLED series and TCL C645 and C755 series. While some models may cost slightly more, they often deliver stronger peak brightness or better motion handling.
